McDavid is far more valuable than Dahlin.

And I also doubt Laine, Matthews, Eichel, Barzal etc. would be traded for him. It's uncertain how good he'll be, he doesn't have a floor yet.

I would suggest that his floor for next year, barring injury is top 6 defender. It would be difficult to believe that he can’t be impactful by halfway thru the season as he gets comfortable. He will have solid partners right away and some decent forwards to set up.

Dahlin is generational end of story, not moving him period. And Barzal give me a break. Dahlin is an 18 year old elite player. Dahlin is the second most valuable asset in the league. 18 year old franchise dman with 3 years of an ELC ? Yeah good luck matching that value.
