Willy only played that first game. Missed time with the Marlies as well. Alex played all 7 of Sweden's games. Maybe he did hurt his knee, but I don't recall anything about it.

This feels like the first second round pick the Sabres are in love with in quite some time, they think he's a high impact top 6 forward.

Asplund seems like a great guy to have coming through the system for when we lose a guy like Larsson/Girgensons as a cap casualty after our young stars get the big bucks. That's how you keep a Cup window open.

Lambert was the head coach of Canada and he talked about it in his interview with Duffer.

It sounds like Rasmus hung around after development camp. I asked Kris Baker and he said he's been here skating and working out.

Is he going to be invited to training camp? Baker wasn't sure, Asplund hasn't signed a contract yet.

Dont think he's on the stat sheet yet today, but really enjoying Asplunds game. Really does remind me of a ROR Jr. Heady, hard on the puck and usually always makes the right play

Bit of a tough shift for Asplund there, allowing a chance and then getting stripped from behind for another, but no harm done.

Tremendous defensive read from Asplund to snuff a Canadian rush with about 5 minutes left.
