Top 4 d-men or are we ranking the teams? You asked for top 4 then listed the teams in order of what you thought?

Anyways top 4 I would say:

Keith
Weber
Pietrangelo
Seabrook

Teams:
Chicago
St. Louis
Nashville
Minnesota
Winnipeg
Dallas
Colorado

For NSH, it should be Ellis/Jones. Ekholm is the indisputable #3.

Ellis was #4 last year and played that way too, it's his position to start the year most likely unless Jones outplays him significantly.

Chicago
Nashville
St. Louis
Minnesota
Winnipeg
Colorado
Dallas

Keith, Weber, Josi, Suter
Pietrangelo, Shattenkirk/Seabrook, Hjalmarsson

As a Minnesota fan, I'd only take Nashville's collection of a top four over what the Wild have.

That said, I think Keith is far and away the best defender in the division. My top four out of the division:
1. Keith
2. Josi
3. Weber
4. Pietrangelo

Nashville
Minnesota
Chicago
St. Louis
Winnipeg
Colorado
Dallas

The purpose of the thread is rank the teams, not individuals

OK Then

1- Hawks (if Oduya resigns)
2- Preds (They could be better than the Hawks; if Jones develops as I expect him to, they will be best by far)
3- Blues (far third from one and two)
4- Jets
5- Wild
6- Aves
7- Stars

Wild's d core is getting overrated here. They have Suter and bunch of average or just a little above average players.

Now I see why we don't have any chance in this division (Avs fan).

Avs won that division with this d core...

Hejda-EJ
Benoit-Barrie
Sarich/Holden-Guenin

I'm not worried. I think next season Avs current d core is gonna be one of the underrated d cores.

How do people rank the Wild d core above the Avs? I mean based on what? If you break it down you got....

Suter is better than all the Avs D-men yes but after that you got...

EJ>>>any wild d-man not named Suter

Barrie is equal or better than any wild d not named Suter

Beauchemin see Barrie

Zadorov is still bit of a question mark but he can be as good or better than any Wild top 4 D not named Suter

Avs bottom pair is little weak, but we're talking top 4 here, and I'll take the Avs top 4 over Wild's
