Should've gone to Crosby. Misses the last month, and still had the same amount of Points as Ovi.

Crosby if he won the Hart that year, that would've been the most dominant win of the decade.

His 1.56 PPG was .30 above the next closest.

Happens. If Ovechkin doesn't miss 10 games in 09-10 he walks away with the MVP but he won the Lindsay anyway so doesn't matter. Players knew who the best player in the league really was that year.

Just like they did in 2012-13 when Ovechkin won MVP. Crosby deservedly won the Lindsay.

I think people are underestimating Price's value to Montreal. Without Price they're a lottery team as they proved last season. When he's on he pushes the Habs into the playoffs with arguably the worst roster to make the playoffs in years. I'm a Pens fan but I would say Price's accomplishment is far more impressive than Sid's or Geno's MVP's.
This guy gets it. Habs have been awful for almost a decade. Prices heroics has hid the "stank" for years. That particular season was one of the all time great goalie seasons in history.

Based upon their seasons and not the overall player:

2012 Malkin
2015 Price
2016 Kane
2010 Sedin
2013 Ovechkin
2017 Mcdavid
2018 Hall
2014 Crosby
2011 Perry

2018 Hall over 2014 Crosby? Really? 2014 Crosby won the Art Ross and the Pearson. 2011 Perry won the Rocket and finished third in scoring. 2018 Hall finished sixth in scoring, 15 points behind the Art Ross winner. He won because the best player in the league was on a team that missed the playoffs.
