The biggest problem right now is the "play it safe" game. I noticed in the second period that the defensive players started chasing pucks and making plays. MDZ and McDonough especially put on a great performance.
The other problem we have is that the Torts system does not work unless you know how it works... This past off season we lost FIVE! (YES, READ FIVE PLAYERS) that knew the system. we pulled in 5 "replacements" that generally should have been sufficient, except that not only did they NOT know the system, but they had never played with any of the other players. Furthermore, they did not KNOW these players. Last year, these guys had a bond from several seasons. This season, nobody knows what anyone can do, how everyone starts and finishes, etc etc...
This is the problem, and this is why we will make the playoffs and get a first or second round exit
