Seems like a slight chance of getting something upstairs after reading some of the posts unless MSG is holding some seats back. Any halfs get notified yet?

Seats Still Showing as of 7pm

Not sure if anyone has a relocation window for Friday (mine was this afternoon), but since I've learned a lot and been entertained from reading posts on here over the past year, thought I would contribute for a change. Here is what is still showing up when I sign in for upgrade/relo - not a thing in the 300s or 400s:

Section 101 - Row 17 (2 seats)
Section 102 - Row 7 (2), Row 9 (8), Row 19 (2)
Section 103 - Row 9 (4), Row 11 (2), Row 18 (2)
Section 104 - Row 11 (7), Row 20 (2), Row 21 (2)
Section 106 - Row 12 (2)
Section 108 - Row 13 (6), Row 19 (2)
Section 110 - Row 10 (5), Row 11 (6), Row 20 (4), Row 21 (8)

Section 115 - Row 4 (2)
Section 116 - Row 20 (2)
Section 118 - Row 20 (2)
Section 119 - Row 5 (4), Row 21 (2), Row 22 (4)
Section 120 - Row 6 (2), Row 8 (4), Row 9 (2), Row 10 (8), Row 11 (2), Row 19 (4)

Section 205 - Row 1 (6)
Section 206 - Row 2 (3)
Section 207 - Row 1 (3)
Section 208 - Row 1 (4)
Section 209 - Row 1 (9)
Section 213 - Row 1 (2)
Section 214 - Row 1 (2)
Section 215 - Row 1 (3)
Section 217 - Row 1 (5)
Section 218 - Row 1 (4)
Section 219 - Row 1 (4)
Section 222 - Row 1 (2)
Section 225 - Row 1 (3)
Section 226 - Row 1 (6)

Hopefully the upcoming season justifies the small fortune we're all paying for tickets!

Thanks for posting, based on those selections, I will definitely not be renewing my halfs. The full ST prices for those sections are ridiculous and halfs would be even more! MSG should really be lowering their row 1 seats, yes I know they are great seats but there so many left bc they are way overpriced, $149/$176 was last years price Im sure they went up again for this season.

There aren't that many left. And they'll be happy to hold onto the 50 remaining row 1 seats and sell them for even more money as partials or individuals. They are marketing the Row 1 seats as a premium product. Just because you or I don't think they are worth it (I used to have a pair) doesn't mean they aren't working out for MSG.

Yep, I agree, someone will buy them, but Row 1 should not be 50% more.

If they can sell them then they priced them correctly. As I said, I had a pair of the row 1s for a season...now I have 3 seats in Row 2 for the same price. Was a no-brainer to me...but there are plenty of people who just have to be in the first row.

1000 percent correct!! They will package those row 1 gallery seats into 10 game minis all day long!

I'm with you NYRA if that's the choice for half there's no chance I'm doing it either.

Is that even how half seasons work...they offer whatever is left over from season subscribers? I thought they make the leftovers available to new season subscribers...and half seasons and partials came from entirely different inventory.

I hope you are right. I am not sure how it works, I just assumed its the same inventory as everyone else. When the halfs start going, we'll see if the inventory is any different from what has been posted here.

Pretty sure this is correct. There will be partials available in lower price points than 1st row gallery. The annoying part is that we weren't given the opportunity to relocate to the seats they held back.

So... This is what I learned with the relocation this year:
It looks like they did reclaim seats that went in the pool or a lot of people cancelled. The first day, there was a ton available in the 200s.
It also looks like the people that have a long tenure are generally pretty happy with their seats, as there wasn't a lot of movement until Wednesday.
The people who went Wednesday - Thursday snatched up anything with a decent value.

My big question is... What happened to all the seats that people relocated from? Did MSG take them back and put them aside for halfs, partials, and box office?

I went Wednesday morning and there was really nothing in the first half dozen or so rows of the upper bowl outside of the R1 gallery. Maybe a pair on two on the bad end, but that's about it. So either the long tenured subscribers grabbed them on Tuesday, or MSG didn't make any of them available. As discussed/hypothesized it may very well have been that the additional inventory was held back for other purposes.

i actually think there has to be inventory held back for half/mini. I sat in the 400s last year with a mini plan - and according to everyone who already relocated there were no 400 seats available.

I'm not buying tickets this year, whether it is a half/mini unless I love the seats anyway.

I think this is my 3rd year in a row staying put. Hard to move 4 but I'm not sure I even saw a pair I'd move to.

looks like the relocation round is now closed, did anybody improve this year?

It's so hard to improve it seems, for people with all seniority. For the record, reading the announcement today of the 90th season home opener being against the NYI reenforces the how happy I am to have seats at all. Can't wait.

It's all cyclical. When the team is good renewal rates are high and people are adding seats (when allowed) so there's little available. During the down times the opposite is true. Winter is coming.

I remember when they used to call practically begging you to add seats to your account. Everything is a cycle.
