on a side note... I feel like the same guy casts most of these games.
He is definitely the straw stirring the drink. Probably the most consistent offensive player on that team. He's one of those guys that's effective even when he's not on the score sheet.Haven't been watching highlights/anything about Berard, but is this just leeching off easy goals/assists, or is this kid stirring the drink more often than not?
This is the play/development that matters, tbh. Good to see.He is definitely the straw stirring the drink. Probably the most consistent offensive player on that team. He's one of those guys that's effective even when he's not on the score sheet.
Berard goal:
He also had two assists. 10-11-21 in 17. Consecutive three point games and he has nine points in his last five.
Last season, he had 10 points in 19 games.
On Berard—the openings are going to have to be there for him and for the next couple years anyway I don’t see how he fits onto the Rangers as a winger when you see guys like Gauthier and Hunt starting to contribute—and Blais returns and when a Pajuniemi is beginning to put up points in Hartford and when you have others like Othmann and Cuylle who will also be knocking on the door. Berard is going to have to fight his way past a lot of competition.
Is Trivigno a free agent at the end of the year? There was a lot of talk last year about the Rangers and Bobby Trivigno who is another very small college forward and who played for NCAA champions U Mass Amherst with Zac Jones.
Unlikely. More like:
Othman>>>>McDavid

Yup. Keith Kinkaid was another one, he was in our prospect camp back in 2010. Those are just guys that came back. Plenty of others just sign elsewhere--Zaitsev, Read, Sustr, etc.yeah, IIRC, that chatter was he would get invite to NYR Prospect Camp,
but with wacky Covid schedule, in'21 that Camp didn't happen until September, and NCAA players were back on campus
but also that invite doesn't mean too much,
guys change their mind, and guys who attend Prospect Camp often don't get offers, or sign elsewhere,
it took ~10 years after Goodrow attended NYR Prospect Camp for him to join NYR org
and this time around, after graduating at age 23, Trivigno likely aims for an NHL ELC, not just an invite
FYI he is off to another productive season, 6-8-14 in 12 games

He's mainly discussed in the Hartford/Jacksonville thread. This is more dedicated to the guys in the CHL, NCAA, and Europe.Schneider hasn’t been mentioned enough here. 6 assists in his last 9 games playing great shutdown defense. Team leader in +/-. The Wolfpack are good and an improved defense is a big reason why. This kid will be pushing for an NHL spot before the end of the year.
He just turned 20. I have no problem with him spending the entire year in the AHL.Schneider hasn’t been mentioned enough here. 6 assists in his last 9 games playing great shutdown defense.
