I second that. In the 3. period, the capitan was exelento. BTW, did Zucc get a helper on McDonaugs goal?

He did yeah, the past 4 games since the shakeup he's been one of the best rangers players on the ice every game, as is even evident by the fan polls

+1 And for once, SBOB has failed to cover his back like he usually doe`s

Lol. This is what I get when I eavesdrop on the children's table I suppose.

Accused of being a contrarian given said poster's brainless musings about Lundqvist. Pure comedy gold.

Ok *****y rant coming up. Srry.

Ppl that spend the most energy after a game on the player with the smallest role aren't objective. Nothing wrong with that, we are hockey fans and its human nature it seems to be moody after a game. But many of the same ppl seem to pride themselves with knowing a lot etc, you can't make a claim on being knowledgeable and then spend every GDT of the season being hooked on the player with the least possible amount of impact on the game.

Glass fills his purpose on the line he is on, he isnt Bickell to who was lost on the wing. Glass impact on a game is slim to none, in a positive and negative way. I've been glad that he has been dressed a few times this year when things have started to get out of hand. He also hits real hard and that helps us. We are small along the wings, and in the neutral zone Glass makes a good job being an option that can win ground there when pucks are cleared along the boards.

I think a bit of a problem is that Glass isn't really good on the circle — and neither is the player's he play with on the circle. Hence we don't get many of those shifts when a well rested 4th hit the ice and blitz the other team ...

Amen.

Glass sucks, but there are players that mean much more to this team that are not pulling their weight night in and night out that escape criticism because Glass is such an easy target. It's a lazy argument.

6GF% (even strength numbers here)
That's the most pathetic stat I've ever seen.

Stepan, who has played much more and faced better opponents has been on the ice for less goals against, and 20 more for....

Chris ****ing Mueller has been on the ice for more goals for us than Tanner Glass.

We score goals at a rate 19 times higher with Nash on. The closest to Glass, Dom Moore still has goals scored 7 times more, and the closest after that have 10 times the scoring rate.

And yet, Glass is also the worst on the team in goals against per 60...

No good happens when he's on the ice and the most bad happens.
Glass is abso-****ing-lutely a problem and an anchor weighing down the team

One thing I wanna point out too, NSHs blueline can really fire the puck. Weber of course, but Jones and Josi also has real good shots. On top of that, Ekholm is a real good shooter. Was a PP bomber specialist in the SHL a few years ago. This is a problem we have, only Klein really that can shoot hard.

This is an important ingredients in the game today with how teams are playing defense, often sacrificing a point.

On top of this, with how teams are playing D, maybe gap controll and mobility are a bit "less" important. IE in the sense that just having a somewhat avg D in terms of ability defenaively really don't seem to hurt many teams, it's like with the modern training and support, back check etc, of today Ds aren't exposed as much if they just are decent in these areas.

In the future, I certainly wouldn't mind if we looked more at how potential draft picks on the back end fires the puck.

That was one of the things that Nashville showed me that was the most impressive.....man they could fire the puck !!!

You keep downplaying his impact but statistics show that he has a major negative impact on the Rangers. He's been on the ice for more goals against then Derek Stepan who sees anywhere from twice to four times as much ice time per game.

Yes, Rangers fans have a tendency to overreact. This is not overreacting. The eye-test shows it, the traditional stats show it, the fancy stats show it. This guy is murdering the Rangers in every way imaginable when he's on the ice.

And most nights that's 10 minutes (averaging 9:59). That's a 6th of the game we're spending basically shorthanded. Any way you slice it, his impact is all negative, and it's big, it's blatant, it's obvious to everyone except you and apparently the Rangers, and it's statistically indisputable.
