Wow, seems like everyone on the team sucked but somehow it was winnable game against one of the league's best. Oh and Seth Jones is a monster. I think it's interesting that an NBA player's son is going to likely be a star hockey player. How is Seth Jones so "short" compared to daddy though?

He's right though. Hagelin didn't do anything to help offensively and MSL just aimlessly floated in the defensive zone. He had one really good shift towards the end with Nash. That was it.

Not everyone sucked. Glass, MSL, and Hags sure did. (By different standards, of course. Glass sucking is different than Hagelin sucking.)

This may sound silly but I thought that by his standards Glass was ok most of the game. Now "his standards" are of an ECHL player so take that for what's worth.

Valiquette said it too, but yeah don't mind him. He's a homer for MSG and would never understand anything about goaltending.

Also, don't mind Talbot saying he was screened either, he's obviously just a liar who is looking for an excuse because he should be expected to stop a bomb that he can't see.

Oh and put aside Girardi apologizing for the screen, and not blocking it. Obviously lying to protect his teammate for such a soft, soft goal.

:help::shakehead

Apologizing for not blocking a shot????????

And I don't care about the screen. I. Care about not challenging a shooter. Challenging a shooter minimizes net to shoot at, screen or no screen.

Three slapshots. All from the circles. All with Talbot deep in the crease. All goals.

The Excuse Train is heading off the rails:

First goal: not his fault because it was a great shot.

Second goal: not his fault because it was Weber

Third goal: not his fault because he was screened.

Three goals on last seven shots.

But no you're right. Talbot was outstanding.

Talbot sucked tonight. His effort didn't match what his teammates put forth. If he had, the Rangers get a much needed point or two.

He's the reason that the game wasn't 3 or 4 to 1 after the first. The defense gave up several cross crease passes to open NSH players in the first. Maybe the goal helped you forget the teams play in the 1st but it wasnt that great. The team had about 10 or so massive defensive breakdowns throughout the game and he helped cover the majority of them. Im not by any means certain Hank would have fared any better.

How many of those would Lundqvist have stopped? Zero.

Have you ever watched Lundqvist play? Has he ever challenged a shooter? Does he not play deep in his crease?

Sounds like Talbot killed your cat or something man. Relax. He had a good game.

Lundqvist when he's on would have likely gotten us at least a point. That said if he wasn't the result would be the same if not worse.

I take the Swedish kid over anyone ever, and I don't think he or Roy or Hasek stops anything Cam let in tonight. That said, Cam played great. I am not disappointed in the least with him.

Their goalie was better than our goalie this time. Twas the difference. The rangers were very good in general.

I don't think we played well at all, I think NSH played poorly. Had a piss poor feeling all game.

We got the puck deep and yes we created a few albeit not that many chances. But when NSH stepped up, they owned us along the boards. They had awsome precense along the blueline. It just seemed like we were on the verge of loosing the "wrong" battles all night and eventually we did ...

Being without Step hurts, but we had the same problems last night as we did against LAK, we are over powered in some areas. Net precense on both sides, and especially prescense on the blueline and that area. A puck goes up along the boards and heir Ds step up and just over powers our guys and then they also get to out net and great havoc there. On the other side we don't quite get to their net, and our Ds don't nearly have the same precense in the mentioned area.

Something we need to work on.

One thing I wanna point out too, NSHs blueline can really fire the puck. Weber of course, but Jones and Josi also has real good shots. On top of that, Ekholm is a real good shooter. Was a PP bomber specialist in the SHL a few years ago. This is a problem we have, only Klein really that can shoot hard.

This is an important ingredients in the game today with how teams are playing defense, often sacrificing a point.

On top of this, with how teams are playing D, maybe gap controll and mobility are a bit "less" important. IE in the sense that just having a somewhat avg D in terms of ability defenaively really don't seem to hurt many teams, it's like with the modern training and support, back check etc, of today Ds aren't exposed as much if they just are decent in these areas.

In the future, I certainly wouldn't mind if we looked more at how potential draft picks on the back end fires the puck.

The biggest positive is that McDonagh was brilliant today. If we get that, we're gonna be just fine.

It's disappointing, but at the end of the day we marched in against a phenomenal team and gave them everything they could handle.

I second that. In the 3. period, the capitan was exelento. BTW, did Zucc get a helper on McDonaugs goal?

If you feel like getting mad, go watch the replay on Ribeiro's goal. Watch Glass' pukeworthy backchecking effort. Once he gets passed center ice, he glides and makes no effort to stop any Nashville attacker.

What does this skill impotent brain dead ****tard do that's positive?

He must be the best scape goat ever?
