Matthews looked like he was going into hot mode last game. That usually lasts for several weeks. Expecting a bad night for NY.

Bob Cole calling the game and the Leafs are a nightmare for Hank, all the makings of a great night! Nylander loves playing the Rangers too, hopefully he pots his first.

Here's hoping they can keep the strong play going. A good chance to keep the run going, but they've got to be ready to go.

The PP has some life in it again finally and every line was buzzing on Thursday night. Predicting a 5-2 win, Nylander gets his first of the year and Kadri bags 2

With Nikita Zaitsev having a very effective December, now would be the time to reduce Hainsey's minutes.

Rielly - Gardiner - Dermott - Zaitsev
Hainsey - Oz - Marincin

Don't care who you put with who in that top 4, but those should be the guys. Hainsey, Marincin and Oz should all be rotating in and around the lineup on the bottom pairing

Oz-Holl should be the last pairing.
If you want to rotate-rotate them all

All of these coach quotes are so pointless, just like those mid-period player interviews.

What else is he going to say but he thinks X is a good player who has Y qualities, and the potential to be a roster player?

He's not going to say I think he has hands of stone, poor hockey IQ, and I don't see him more than a top AHLer.
There is nothing more useless than the in between period interview, complete waste of time.

Prepare for Nylander to break out of his slump tonight; 3-point game for him pending.

Hope it's a fun game. Leafs are the better team, but the rangers are actually better than expected. Rangers also have an excellent fanbase, so I hope their team gets better for their sake
They were playing pretty well at one point, but it’s really tailed off recently. It’s basically just Zibanejad, Kreider, and Hayes out there.

It's not so much the winning/losing, it's the star skater which has eluded the franchise for so many years, that is what people are starving for. Playing teams like the Leafs is like driving on the highway in your '98 Camry when suddenly an orange Lamborghini flies past you and disappears over the horizon within an instant.
