Well, it might have been a fluke goal but Lundqvist was more to blame than Yandle. Lundqvist came out of his crease and was not back on time to cover the short side.

How about complaining about something that actually matters like our offense..

Goaltending is way down at the bottom of things we should be concerned about.

If Lundqvist didn't allow only 1 goal in 4 out of 5 of the games in the first round, this team would have been out awhile ago.

AV, just give me the following d-pairs please;

McD-Girardi
Staal-Boyle
Yandle-Klein

Is that too much to ask?

Clearly, yes. It's funny because Yandle-Klein were our best defensive pairing game 1, so the first thing AV does is break them up for game 2. Makes sense.

No way we can complain about the goaltending. they have played 8 playoff games so far and in 5 of them Hank and the defense have given up only 1 goal.

If the Rangers can find a way to win in Verizon (which they have not done a great job at lately) I really like their chances!

We need rebound conversion. That's Holtby's weakness, but we are usually too deep to pick one up. Where is the trailer? Kreider got a great goal that way. We need more of that.

Would be a lot easier if we could actually rely on our defense to get some shots through from the point.

It is a race to 4 wins not two.

And so far the Rangers have lost on an own goal and a goal that should never have happened due to a questionable (at best) boarding non call. It is not the end of the series. A great game tonight and the series takes a turn for the better.

One thing that may help would be to start shooting to Holtby's stick side or five hole instead of shooting glove side. He's obviously got a pretty decent glove yet it seems that's where everyone keeps shooting. Either that or right into his chest. Every time.

180 minutes of hockey play and all that separates these 2 teams is 1 goal.

I agree, Holtby has not had to make that many difficult saves this series. He has made all the saves he was supposed to make. Rangers are making him look elite.

AV has been out coached this series. How he got caught with his pants down with D pairings on home ice, I have no idea. So much for home ice advantage. And his stubbornness to change the pairings doesn't help things.

Faceoffs and shots coming off quicker. Face off count was 40 to 18, in favor of the Caps of course. I think about 10 of our shots were blocked, even our passes.

Literally can't believe the Lundqvist blaming posts for the Game 3 loss.

How about we SCORE tonight?

lol @ this mentality

Just cause someone thinks the goal could have been saved, doesn't mean they're blaming the whole loss on him

Why is that every time a goalie shuts the Rangers down that goalie didn't face any tough shots and the Rangers make him look elite. How about Holtby played well?

Often when a goalie gets hit in the crest with shots it's because of good anticipation and positioning.

Never said he didnt play well. He played very well. However, he really was not pressured much except for a couple of times late in the third when there was traffic in front of him. Game 2 he made more great saves that he did Game 3. Most of the Rangers shots hit him right in the chest or went right to his glove.
