I thought he was one of the better players on the team in the first 2 or 3 games of the series that shall not be named, at least before the team imploded.

I also thought he was one of the better players in the 2013 playoffs before he got suspended.

He's 35 and has sat out a full year now, actually he's missed almost 2 full seasons it seems. He might not be a huge factor anymore, though sitting out might have also refreshed him and bought him some more time too.

Sharks were desperate for players with grit, not the softy-winny that seemed to predominate at stretches last season.

With that said, welcome home Torres and I hope you are fully overhauled and ready to shake up the season with some true grit.

So I shouldn't give up on Torres yet? It seems like he's only played like 10 games since the trade. Would love to get that up to 30 or something but I thought the team moved past him.

I think Torres could very well thrive on DeBoer's system.

If Torres is still his normal self and still has some NHL years in him, then I hope we extend him. He is a force on the forecheck.

He's played 28 games with the Sharks.
