I don't understand what's all this calling for CMac's head. I think they're underestimating how much power CMac had before and overestimating how much he has now. The move in the offseason is nothing more than a title change. Remember CMac MADE the Duchene trade.

They aren't winning anything, my dude. Going out in the first round puts more pressure on management to actually do something and makes their first round pick a tiny bit better.
There's plenty of logic there. It just requires putting aside ignorant optimism and accepting what has been known for a while now.

Either way, his past accomplishments doesn't excuse him from the shit job he did at this TDL. Not using LTIR money of Landeskog, no additional winger help and not getting an upgrade over Compher for 2C is unforgivable when we still had two 1st round draft picks in our pocket. We're right in the middle of our cup window. He f***ing sucks.
Even though they likely knew Landeskog was shot by the deadline, what can they do? Cupboard is pretty bare, prices were pretty steep, and the team is too good to tank.
After we get swept, can we pay Sakic to be GM and Pres? For like...forever. Cause CMac is a nerd and can't do this.
