Expansion has to ruin everything :sarcasm:

Congrats to him but it sucks the site will be no more, at least there's still CapFriendly for now. But according to Bettman nobody cares for these sites so it doesn't matter.

Good for him.

Demand will ensure new options spring up soon. It was what, 2 weeks between capgeeks closure and GF going live?

I stopped going there because I couldn't figure out what their logo was supposed to be.

Remember this guy saying on a podcast that he wasn't interested in using his site to get an NHL job. Obviously full of ****. Maybe this will get people to actually use CapFriendly which is far better and actually has a Armchair GM tool rather than acting like General Fanager was the only thing that existed.

Ah no!

GeneralFanager was my go to. I loved it.
Losing capgeek and generalfanager sucks.
Best of luck to Tom!

Guess I have to get used to capfriendly now, or go back to nhlnumbers

Good for him getting the job with Las Vegas. Do they make any money on sites like General Fanager?

Why doesn't the NHL run a site like this on their own? Surely they know there is demand for it among fans and teams alike.

That would be a disaster, they'd try to put it on NHL.com and that already is a horribly slow clunky website.
