It's such a treat to watch Hughes skate and stick handle. I dont know if his moves will translate in NHL but I'm literally watching him right now with my jaws dropped to the floor.

He is soo dynamic and sets up so much offence for his team.

His moves are Bure'esque

The wjc stats can be misleading. Players racking up 3 or 4 point games against bottom teams with no skill and finish tournament with 3-5 goals and 8-10pts. These players sometimes get more recognition than players who put up fewer total points but against tougher teams at more critical times.

It's misleading because it's a tournament where a bunch of teenagers who have never played with each other before, teamed up to for a 2 weeks tournament

Umm... I think you can look at individual skills like does the player have a good or bad shot. Is he fast or slow. Etc.

Just dont get excited if a player suddenly plays above his draft projection all of a sudden.

I hope his team wins Big Ten 1st round then loses 2nd round on Saturday March.16 and does not qualify for NCAA tournament. Then signs with Canucks and doesn't play on Sunday and Monday road games. Then plays in the remaining 9 Canucks games starting on Wednesday March 20 at home against Ottawa.
