The drama is still there.Straight red cards really should be absolutely last resort and for very obscene and obvious fouls...intent to injure or denial of goal scoring opportunity. Should always start with yellow, and two yellow = red is the right way to control the game.
Cheap red cards totally ruin the sport, an entire game can be thrown out because of it.
