Awful call and then what’s VAR for, to me it was obvious error. Give yellow at least then check if you must

The VAR official is also English they aren't gonna overrule an English official on the pitch what a dumb system.

Clear red - if nothing else so for the stupidity.

The tackle - I´m not sure. Didn't think the replays were especially good.

Straight red cards really should be absolutely last resort and for very obscene and obvious fouls...intent to injure or denial of goal scoring opportunity. Should always start with yellow, and two yellow = red is the right way to control the game.

Cheap red cards totally ruin the sport, an entire game can be thrown out because of it.

That is never a red, never. Studs weren’t first, not a two footed etc.

Reckless yes, but clearly the players reaction impacted the call, otherwise it’s would’ve never been a red.
