Switzerland switching from a 3 at the back to a 4 at the back is a senseless decision. Their entire strength centered around their technical quality and overload in the build-up, and taking one player out of that makes their strength significantly weaker. No Xhaka to carry the build up also impacts things negatively of course.

Freuler and Zakaria don’t aren’t avaliable for a pass nearly enough and don’t break lines with passing. Xhaka is so badly missed.

That depends on how the wingbacks interpret their roles.

Had to run to work 15 minutes in, has Zakaria gotten into the game better since his disastruous start?

E:

Plays decent, not spectacular. Had one great chance missed by centimeters.
