You don't want Fedotenko near your top nine in a scoring role. He just doesn't have that much anymore. Knuble could be decent as long as he's only asked to win board battles and get to the net.

That's because the Avs aren't really in a rush to trade him. He's not an impending UFA. There's no reason for them to trade him unless they're desperate for help now (they could be, but it doesn't sound like it) unless someone blows them away.

One could also say the Avs aren't a very good organization anymore, but O'Reilly's asking price is insane.

Everyone on this board is absolutely infatuated with Couturier's defense, yet, O'Reilly is better defensively, and is still really young (albeit a few years older than Couts). Goal scoring isn't everything in a center.

Dreger on Insider Trading said that San Jose were listening to offers for their players. He threw Dan Boyle's name out there. Said the Sharks would want a forward going back to them. He also actually threw out Jumbo Joe's name, but he even said he doesn't see that happening.

Don't want O'Reilly, just seems like either he or his father would be a head case if something didn't go their way and besides we need stud defensemen than we do a centermen, lets give Couturier a chance to develop and see how he does for a year or so before we decide to start trading him.
