Which is weird because Philly fans have been claiming they are full of elite D prospects for years now. You'd think they'd be able to spread the workload around a big stable of great young D.
The young D are coming: Provy, Gostisbehere and Hagg are now established players. Sanheim is a break out candidate too, after his first year of FT duty. Myers will be up full time at some point this year, depending on what they do with Morin. Friedman is on the farm, Hogberg is in Sweden for one more year. Zamula and Wylie are doing well in Jr and Kalynuk is finishing college. Oh and Cam York was our 1st pick, a very talented kid. We’re doing OK, thanks very much, but certainly have no need to trade Provy.

Yep, they're coming!!!! These guys are 23/24 years old. We've been hearing they're coming for quite some time. Meanwhile, the Flyers D is still bad. We're going to be hearing about a bunch of 24/25 year olds just primed for a breakout yet again next year. And it's fantastic that you have Friedman, Hogberg, Zamula, Wylie, blah blah blah, as the next crop coming to replace the "they'll break out next year" group of current dmen.

They can.

Just watch this year and you'll see.

Sanheim and Myers (two of the elite D) haven't played a full season yet. The other two (Provy and Ghost) had down years. Add those 4 with Braun and Niskanen and you'll see some magic.

Yeah so Sanheim, Myers, and Provorov either just turned 23 or are younger than that. Defensemen and goalies take longer to mature than offensive players. There are hardly defensemen that make the jump straight from juniors to the NHL. I'm glad you were able to google other Flyers defensive prospects yet conveniently left out Cam York.

He's included under "blah blah blah".

you're talking about dmen that haven't even made the NHL at 23, in some cases older. The whole "they develop later" excuse runs out eventually you know.

oh and Morin is 24.
