The guy is freaking tiny! He needs to grow some balls and just rough it out.
He went down from .4 points a game to .33 points a game...not a lot but still signficant because he ain't getting any playing time and if he continues it'll drop down to .28 almost half of last year.

It's easier for Orpik he has a regular spot on his team. However Komisarek has more upside simply because he's not just about his size and hitting.Evilo said:Yep, a year ago, comaring Brooks Orpik with Mike Komisarek was a sure way to get yourself flamed by not only Habs fans but by pretty much everyone here.
Now a year later...
They both look to be at around the same level, with a slight edge to Orpik.

Easier on the Pens? I don't think so.jcpenny said:It's easier for Orpik he has a regular spot on his team. However Komisarek has more upside simply because he's not just about his size and hitting.

Mikko Koivu - Drafted 6th overall by Minnesota in 2001, doesnt look like hes making the trip overt the pond anytime soon..
Kris Beech - Drafted 7th overall by Pittsburgh in 1999

I dont disagree with your last point but you did ask to name five goalies who were bonafide #1 starters before they were 25... . Geez, if I wanted to go back at all over the course of time you could find lots more. That was my only point.icarus said:On & on does it? Wow, the number of goalies who #1 before they were 25 is overwhelming! The fact that your initial list of seven includes three guys who debuted in the eighties illustrates my point, I think.
There are probably five or six goalies (Denis, Giguere, Brodeur, Theodore, Luongo, and maybe someone else--not Biron) currently in this league of thirty teams who fit this mould. Thus, the lesson here is it's premature to call 20- and 21-year-old goalies busts when you can't really get an accurate read on their careers for at least five more years.
