I saw that too, but I really don't see the point. He's not that big, and his stats suggest he's got even less talent than Abney

Interesting, not really sure what to think as what exactly do we need him for at this point? He's only 19 and if he is just a pure goon why would we sign him now? We already have Abney and should've learned from that experience. Unless this is for Abney to be challenged in the various training camps, to have someone to scrap.

Oilers now have 6 #1 OA prospects

3 in the NHL draft
1 in KHL draft (Slepyshev)
1 in CHL import draft (Marincin) went over Yakupov weirdly enough
1 in USHL draft (Adam Muir)

Why wasn't rimmer drafted? Anyways if both him and Lb make the NHL that would make for some very interesting games. I would have to cheer for the different side this time. Also why wasn't baddock drafted? He was pretty bad early not using his size and looking awkward but I felt later in the year he started to hit more and his line was pretty effective.

I am going to go with a lack of him putting his raw potential together and lack of exposure on the 4th line. I do agree he did get better as the year went on.

Why draft the guy if no one else is? Offer him what we did and use the pick somewhere else.

Toronto scout on Spec's show really talking about Baddock. Sounds like a few teams really want to see this kid.

Just watched some video on youtube, he doesn't seem like a very good fighter IMO but he is willing and most importantly is a big body that plays big and he hits hard. I'd be fine with signing this kid to a cheap ELC and hope that he gives us another potential option in a depth role down the road.
