For years Henrik was the best playmaker in the league, or at worst 2nd just behind Thornton.
This is a good comparison...I remember back when Draisatl was in junior, there was a lot in his game that reminded me of Henrik. The playmaking, the way he controlled the play from the half-wall on the powerplay, the way he could feather a pass through to a guy you wouldn't even think he'd know was there.
Of course it's tough to take Henrik himself away from the chemistry he had with his line with his brother and guess what he'd be doing in isolation. Asides from Henrik some other guys who I see sometimes in Draisatl's game are Rick Nash and Marian Hossa, even a little of Jagr. He's that same sort of puck-protecting skilled euro-style power forward, and then he has the hands and vision to be a playmaker like Henrik was as well. I've always been a big fan of the Sedins but if we were picking teams playground-style I'd pick Draisatl.
Yeah can he do it without arguably the most gifted ice hockey player of all time by his side ?Draisaitl. He can pretty much sweep the big awards, and do it without his twin brother by his side. He brings an imposing size quality to the table, and far more goal-scoring acumen, which counts for something.

What’s the sample size? Because Henrik Sedin produced without his brother the year he won the Hart Trophy. He also did that while not being one of the worst defensive players in the league had games with Kevin Bieksa as his winger, helped his team with his division and a round in the playoffs. That's what he did last year, yes.
