Who would have thought that giving Tavares, Marner and Rielly over 20 minutes while limiting the minutes of bottom 6/bottom pairing guys would lead to better results?

Since Matthews got injured, Marner and Tavares for the most part have averaged 20+ minutes. This wasn't a sudden 1 game change.

I think people do underestimate how long it takes to mesh with a brand new team. He's looked good so far but if he can play like he did tonight for the rest of the season, watch out when Matthews comes back.
