Uh yeah... so about that first powerplay unit... I have some bad news.

Nobody should get too worked up about preseason. Especially when your best players are old farts and aren't trying very hard if at all. But it's still been kind of a lackluster show of things all the way around.

Actually no. These very important games have let me know that Malkin is done, and was never really good in the first place. I’m asking for the entire board to submit eulogies for him.

I'm guessing that the people who have been saying this for 17 years and looked like utter morons are getting pretty stoked to finally be right soon, huh?

But yes anyway... RIP in peace Lazy Loops. We hardly knew ya... and evidently you hardly knew the other guys on the team.

I love how one or two bad plays in pre-season is damning for prospects/fringe guys, but when you're a regular you can suck for like 20 games before a change is finally made.

it shouldn't need 20 games, but making team does earn you some wiggle room.
