pesce - hanifin
bean - wesley
Preseason throwaway pairings. Bean will be worth a look as he plays against NHL'ers, but sticking him out there with Wesley is a little unfair.
All signs are this is our third pairing. Two guys who have not only never played with each other before, but are new to the roster (more or less, in Fleury's case).
I'm not expecting too much in their first audition, but this one will be interesting to watch.
Skinner/Ryan should be fun to watch in a preseason context... should be up and down the ice all night. PDG really needs to show well in a role like this one, supporting skill players with lots of ice time. If he doesn't contribute in this context, he might end up being the odd man out when it comes time for cuts.
Heh. I think we're all looking forward to this.
mcginn - pots - miller
tolchinsky - wallmark - hoffman
More preseason silliness. McGinn's the only guy here who I'm confident is relevant to the future of the Hurricanes. Maybe Pots or Wallmark could force their way in with a really strong development curve, but I'm not betting on it, and the rest I've given up on already.
