Koivu and Vanek looked good in the first game. They'll be fine. We have the luxury now of having so many options up front that we can be patient with allowing guys to develop chemistry. Parise and Pommers have a history. Vanek has to adjust. Remember the days when we had to put all our eggs in one player's basket? Not anymore. Times are changing.

I think he was scared to fail last year. if he didn't show up last year he was off back to juniors and couldn't come back

I think he puts so much pressure on himself and he wants to be a difference difference maker so much that he over thinks situations instead of letting his instinks take over. last game and tonight he's giving us a glimpse into his potential.

Just back from the game, pretty much a snoozer until the third period when the team woke up.

Thought more fans would be there, I'm pretty sure last year in the two preseason games I went to there were more there but maybe that's a monday night for you?

Scoreboard is pretty cool, though it has plenty of malfunctions, especially if you are on the ends where we are behind the goal. Can't wait till it is all up and running though.

Absolutely agree. The guy is just so awesome.

Plus we're gonna need him eventually. Give him some kind of position with the team and have him travel and practice with the team and sign him the very minute we have a goalie injury.
