@Magua - I looked at EH’s model for Cam, see the card below.

He was a decent player during that time, not spectacular. Similar type effects at Hockey viz as well

How much of that is skewed by 2016 though? He's also never been a high usage player on the PP.

I feel like slot/net front players are the most teammate dependent on a unit. Don't think that's revelatory. Atkinson's heat maps are basically exactly there. I'm not entirely sure how much GAR/xGAR can account for that -- especially for fringe average numbers -- because you're entirely reliant on being given the puck. And it's going to be a shot with value.

I think we both know the only logical place to ever have him is as a bumper. Funnily enough, in the years afterwards, he drifts more to the wall. And that's a black hole. Where did the Flyers use him heavily? Where did Tortorella primarily have him (which mostly doesn't include those years)? You can surmise.

Torts the offensive whiz has 2 guys below the goal line on a 5v3.
Did you not see the intricate hot potato sequence those two initiated? It confused the shit out of the defense. They fell for it hook line and sinker! Brilliant design!

Giroux with a beauty tonight. So good
That guy is decent but he’s no star of the game Garnet Hathaway…

It was a bit skewed, but he had a decent years in 15-16 and 16-17. But everything else is either blah or down right bad.

I will look into pp vs es numbers once I get some time. Maybe tomorrow
