We had a thread like this for the WC 2018, thought we should have one for Euro 2020 aswell.

Post the rosters you want or how the roster you think will look like.

Sweden:

Forwards: Alexander Isak, Marcus Berg, Robin Quaison, Sebastian Andersson

Midfielders: : Emil Forsberg, Ken Sema, Victor Claesson, Dejan Kulusevski, Albin Ekdal, Kristofer Olsson, Mattias Svanberg, Jakob Johansson

Defenders: Victor Nilsson Lindelöf, Andreas Granqvist, Pontus Jansson, Riccardo Gagliolo, Oscar Wendt, Ludwig Augustinsson, Emil Krafth. Pierre Bengtsson.

Goalies: Robin Olsen, Karl Johan Johansson, Kristoffer Nordfeldt.

This is the roster i want. Players such as Sebastan Larsson, Gustav Svensson, Mikael Lustig, John Guidetti and Filip Helander will probaly be on the roster...ugh.

I really hope Serbia gets in, they could field a very good team that could do some damage.

Jovic - Tadic
Savic - Gudelj - Gacinovic - Kostic
Kolarov - Nastasic - Milenkovic - Ivanovic
Rajkovic

Sebastian Larsson is great, his incredible work ethic and constant running is a lot more useful than an immobile tractor like Jacob Johansson. Mikael Lustigs positioning sense is very much needed too, why do you not want him?

Wendt is retired, we should probably bring Danielsson since we need to bring 4 CBs and not 3 or 4 left backs. Guidetti and the swedish Mustafi Helander have no buisness even being considered, you are right there.

I would bring

Goalies: Olsen, Nordfeldt, Johnsson

Defenders : Lindelöf, Granqvist, Danielsson, Jansson, Lustig, Krafth, Augustinsson, Gagliolo

Midfielders : Svanberg, Olsson, Ekdal, Claesson, Sebastian Larsson, Kulusevski, Forsberg, Sam Larsson

Forwards: Berg, Isak, Quaison, Andersson

Belgium roster will only have a few question marks, mainly in midfield and up front, it will be a tough battle for those on the bubble

Goalies (3) will be Courtois, Mignolet and either Koen Casteels or Matz Sels

Defense (6) will have Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Vermaelen, Kompany, Boyata, Denayer

Midfield (7) will have Meunier, Chadli, T. Hazard, Witsel, Tielemans, Dendoncker, KDB

Forwards (4) include Lukaku, Batshuayi, Hazard, Mertens

Now.. for the 3 remaining open spots..

I think in defense we're set with those 6 guys. If someone gets injured, either Brandon Mechele (Club Brugge), Bjorn Engels (Aston Villa) or Zinho Vanheusden (Standard) could be an option.. OR Martinez can decide he will use Dendoncker as an extra option for both defense and midfield which would create another roster spot to be filled

There will be a need for another wick back.. Carrasco should be there, however Timothy Castagne (Atalanta) has done very well when called upon, I think one of these two will be in the squad

Two more spots will go to attacking minded players that can player either in midfield or up front. So we're talking about two of either Hans Vanaken (Club Brugge), Dennis Praet (Leicester), Leandro Trossard (Brighton), Maxime Lestienne (Standard), Yari Verschaeren (Anderlecht), Adnan Januzaj (Sociedad), Divock Origi (Liverpool), Christian Benteke (Crystal Palace)

Now if it were up to me, I'd kick Boyata off the squad, and I would take Castagne, Vanaken (homer vote), Trossard and then either Carrasco or Origi. This will never happen though.

For Croatia its pretty much straight forward because there isn't a lot of depth but there are question marks over the fitness of Vrsaljko who hasn't played for the NT in a year and has only recently returned to training with Atletico (no guarantee he plays even when fit) and the two backup goalkeepers. If all things go to plan (Vrsaljko is fit, the two goalies find new clubs) this is pretty much the squad:

Goalkeepers (3): Livakovic, Kalinic*, Sluga*
Defenders (8): Vrsaljko*, Jedvaj, Lovren, Vida, Caleta-Car, 4th CB*, Barisic, Bradaric*
Midfielders (7): Modric, Rakitic, Kovacic, Brozovic, Vlasic, Badelj*, Rog*
Forwards (5): Kramaric, Petkovic, Perisic, Rebic, Orsic

I put asterisks next to question marks. As I mentioned at goalie neither Kalinic (3rd choice at Villa) or Sluga (2nd choice at Luton) are playing but were selected regardless during the qualifying. However, Dalic has told them both in the recent NT camp that if they don't play in the spring there are not going to Euro. It appears Villa will allow Kalinic to leave so as long as he plays he will be the #2. I doubt Luton let Sluga go after the money they paid for him. The next options are probably Semper from Chievo Verona or a domestic league goalkeeper, my guesses are Grbic from Lokomotiva or Posavec from Hajduk

The fourth center back is pretty much down to Mitrovic from Club Brugge or Peric from Dinamo Zagreb. I think Caleta-Car will be the main backup now that he returned to the NT from his 'suspension' and because he was in the World Cup squad so he will get some credit for that. Peric did well to fill-in in the last qualifier and is having a solid season for Dinamo while Mitrovic is injured too frequently and because of that he has lost his status under Dalic (he played pretty frequently under Cacic). At the moment my guess is Peric. The backup left back is another question mark. Dalic has been selecting Melnjak who plays at a 'no-name' Turkish club and hasn't looked good in his opportunities in friendly matches. On paper the best option appears to be Bradaric who plays for Lille but I've read mixed reviews about him and he hasn't been called up yet. If Vrsaljko isn't fit/ready to go then his spot goes to Bartolec from FC Copenhagen and unfortunately Jedvaj will be the starter at RB

In terms of midfield the first five I listed are locks, the last two are open spots between the likes of Badelj/Rog/Pasalic and possibly some youngsters from Dinamo Zagreb, maybe Sunjic too. Badelj is aging and pretty much a late minute sub these days for the NT, but he seems to have a good attitude and good around the young players so I can see him making it even if his form isn't great. Rog and Pasalic were both late cuts for the World Cup squad and would be bit-part players at Euro but both are in good form in Serie A. Pasalic is the better offensive player while Rog is more hard working. Other options include Moro (Dinamo), Ivanusec (Dinamo) or even Sunjic (Birmingham) but very much outsiders, hate to be a cynic but under Cacic I'm sure one of the Dinamo guys would be pressured to make it, Dalic seems more headstrong about picking the same players he always does

I don't see anybody really appearing 'out of nowhere' for the national team in the next six months. Only real candidate it Ante Budimir at Mallorca who starts every match but he will have to improve his goalscoring record drastically to get attention, but he's at a good enough league where if he does he will certainly get attention

Whatever happened to Pjaca?

Still injured but I guess he is slowly coming back, big rumors last few weeks Dinamo might bring him on loan especially if their CL/EL campaign continues in the spring. I have my doubts about him, constantly injured and out of action for a long time, plus somebody like Orsic plays a similar role and in much better form

As far as a starting XI goes this is what I'm hoping we end up with:

Cillessen
Karsdorp*1 - de Ligt - van Dijk - van Aanholt*2
Wijnaldum - de Jong
Promes - Stengs - Memphis
Boadu*3

*1 - Dumfries, Promes?
*2 - Willems
*3 - Malen

Other players that I hope are brought along are Ake, de Vrij, Propper, Bergwijn, and the above who are not starters. I'm really apprehensive at the idea of Blind, de Roon, Babel and Berghuis continuing to get reps but eh...

There is strong rumours that Zlatan is gonna be back with Sweden National Team. That would be a huge boost for us. He is still world class.

Zlatan - Quaison
Forsberg - Ekdal - Olsson - Kulusevski
Augustinsson - Lindelöf - Jansson - Gagliolo
Olsen

Spain will kill us. Should be even games against Poland and Slovakia.

England's, I think, will look something like this:

GK:
Pope, Henderson, Pickford

These are, I reckon, solidified. Pope will probably start.

DF:
Maguire, Stones, Dier, Walker, Alexander-Arnold, James, Chilwell, Shaw

Trippier might get in over James (because Southgate loves him) and Mings might get in over Dier (because he's left footed). Others, I think, are nailed on.

MF:
Henderson, Mount, Grealish, Rice, Ward-Prowse, Foden, Saka

First four are locks. Last three are iffier. I think Ward-Prowse makes it as a set-piece specialist and pest, which will see him slide in above James Maddison. Foden and Saka are both in tremendous form and are also left-footed. There's an outside chance that Bellingham could make it as the squad baby, but I think Foden and Saka fill that niche.

FW:
Kane, Sterling, Rashford, Sancho, Calvert-Lewin

First four are locks. Calvert-Lewin and Abraham are fighting for the other spot. I personally think Abraham offers more, but Calvert-Lewin's goal scoring form is obviously really good, so I think he takes it.

Probably something along the lines of:

Gnabry
Havertz
Sane
Werner
Waldschmidt (should be one of Volland / Stindl / Kruse / Müller)

Kimmich
Goretzka
Gundogan
Brandt
3 of : Kroos / Neuhaus / Hofmann / Amiri / Can / Draxler --- Kroos will be one of them, but shouldn't; instead I'd take Amiri and the gladbach duo.

Gosens
Baku
Klostermann
Halstenberg
Süle
Ginter
Rüdiger
Kehrer (maybe Koch or Tah)

Neuer
MAtS
Leno

Ideally starting:
Gnabry - Havertz - Sane/Werner
Goretzka - Gundo/Brandt
Kimmich
Halstenberg - Süle - Ginter* - Klostermann
MAtS
-----------------------------------
Gnabry - Havertz - Sane/Werner
Gosens - LeGo/Gundo - Kimmich - Baku
Halstenberg - Süle* - Klostermann
MAtS
-----------------------------------
Gnabry - Havertz
Gosens - Goretzka - Gundogan - Baku
Kimmich
Halstenberg - Süle* - Klostermann
MAtS

*Ginter / Kehrer / Rüdiger

Not euro related, but Müller hasn't been included in the preliminary Olympic roster that was sent to NADA; whereas Hummels, Kruse & Kramer have been.

Rüdiger or Kehrer.
Loan them to LFC. Chelsea won’t help LFC out but, I actually think Kehrer would be okay as long as he isn’t playing RB

Pretty much this. Pope should start but Pickford is Southgate's first choice.

Trippier will probably go, he's playing well for Atletico. Walker has been used as a CB. Depends how much/well James plays under Tuchel.

Phillips will probably go as a 2nd DM. Maddison is on form but think Southgate prefers others.

Saka has only played LWB for England so far with the wings full. Shaw is playing well enough and can play in a back 3.

Ings is in the fight for the other CF spot too.

In the 3-4-3 used in the Nations League:
Kane
Rashford--------Grealish
Chilwell - Rice - Henderson - TAA
Maguire - Stones - Walker
Pickford

Kane
Rashford - Grealish - Sterling*
Rice - Henderson
Chilwell - Maguire - Stones - TAA
Pickford

*Sancho / Foden
GK - Pickford, Pope, Henderson
RWB - TAA, Trippier
LWB - Chilwell, Saka
CB - Maguire, Stones, Walker, Dier
DM - Rice, Phillips
CM - Henderson, Mount
AM - Grealish, Foden
LW - Rashford, Sterling
RW - Sancho
CF - Kane, Calvert-Lewin

Last spot depends on where Southgate wants depth. Gomez if fit, Mings or Keane, Shaw, James, Ward-Prowse, Maddison, Ings or Abraham.
