- it's interesting how many people think Batherson could lead the team in scoring given he isn't paid as high as a few others in the top six but should have been I think they'rs right, he could lead this team in scoring, he certainly has the potential as long as some dick doesn't take him out.

- also interesting how many people think Norris will get so many pts given it wasn't all that long ago when we were arguing whether he was a #1 centre or not. He clearly has proven he is a #1 centre & hopefully will continue to get better & produce pts.

- if both Batherson & Norris improve on last yr's stats it will only make sense that Tkachuk should also improve & increase his pt production as well. Should be an interesting race between the two top lines as to who at the end of the season end up with more pts.

- as a number of our UFAs are replaced hopefully they are replaced with better more productive players increasing scoring even more but just as important will be reducing the goals against. It's the defensive part of the game that needs to improve, this team will score plenty of goals, it will be keeping it out of our own net that will determine if we make the playoffs or not. Hopefully, the pffensive improvements will make up for the defensive lapses.

I expect about a 30 to 35 pt improvement in pts standings from last yr & over 50 goal production increase from last yr as well. Everything will depend on injuries & hopefully Ottawa does not have a repeat of last yr with Covid & injuries. I think that the Stutzle line will score more goals than the Norris line, but IMO the Norris line gets more pts.

Batherson - 74 pts - 28 g
Tkachuk - 72 pts - 33 g
Stutzle - 70 pts - 35 g
Chabot - 70 pts - 21 g
DeBrincat - 68 pts - 38 g
Norris - 67 pts - 36 g
Giroux - 64 pts - 28 g
Formenton - 42 pts - 24 g
Joseph - 36 pts - 16 g
Pinto - 34 pts - 12 g
Sanderson - 30 pts - 8 g
Zub - 26 pts - 8 g

Any list that doesn’t have bath first in points is wrong . I’ll put money on it
Yep. Bath is going to push 95 this season. I really believe it. His pts/gp were right up at the top of the league before he got injured.

He's the best player on the team.

Chabot: 50-60 pts
Sanderson: 15-25 pts
Brann: 20-25 pts

I have a feeling individual totals won't be through the roof, but the overall team total will go up a fair bit. It'll probably be the 23-24 season where we end up with a couple PPG guys.

Norris played 66 and Batherson 46. That adds to 52 man games lost. Just those 2 guys being healthy and producing at the same rate, Tkachuk scores more from having better linemates.

It's really going to be an interesting season. We're going to be very difficult to defend. If your top pair are big and physical, we throw out the Tkachuk line and the defenders have their hands full. If that top pair are more swift moving puck types, out goes Stuetzle and again that pair has their hands full.

We've got two top line quality lines that can play completely different hockey. It is going to be fun.

Yes our road matchups are now a 180 compared to last several seasons.

Teams will have to plan and rotate players constantly if they are looking for matchups as we just have so many weapons now.

Home games are where DJ should shine and exploit opponent weaknesses.

And after first two pairings are exhausted from our top 6 out goes Formenton - Pinto - Joseph.

Our record is decent at home already under DJ

Home record: 47-45-14 for an 84 pts pace

Road record: 34-59-10 for a 62 pts pace.
