The fact of the matter is that they lost to a team they had no business losing to.
.........
Rinne was great today. Especially his blocker. Finland is off to the semis.
I was able to catch the 1st on NBC. Rinne and Ellis looked good. Salomaki was barely noticeable.
While this is a thread dedicated to Preds players in the tourney Jones and Rinne did well. It is disappointing that team USA is out.
Can and should we be critical of this team I would say yes. Since it was or GM that put the team together and our new head coach at the helm and even an asst coach threw in. There were some talented player out there, the best well maybe not. That does not change the fact that the only game this team should have lost at this point was to Russia.
And from my point of view the Preds Org. TODAY let this country down. Like it or not our group built the team did not motivate the team to hold the lead against Latvia and were out classed today by a team they should have beat. SO Yeah the Preds players are representing well.
In the World championship section here, posters are naming their all star teams (3F, 2D, 1G). Jones has been on almost every list, Josi on most, and Rinne on a few. Nice to see Jones tearing it up.
Im pretty sure Jones was the leading scorer among D men and top 10 overall
He was the leading point producer on the US, which for a 19 year old that's good even for a forward. It's awesome because he's a D man. He gets more fun to watch every game
Gaudreau beat him by one point, but you're right about it being pretty incredible.

Ah gotcha, I was going by the analyst on NBC sports. I heard they were both leading the team at different points, guess Johnny got ahead in that last game.
