Hello, new here on HF boards, tho im a die hard fan of the predators and I have followed 2012-2014 seasons staying up all night watching predator games from sweden.

anyways....

Is there any Predators who is gonna play in the WC this year? ive heard that Craig Smith is gonna play for USA but Patric Hörnqvist is not due to his wife giving birth and all that...

who else is in/out for the WC this spring?

Did a quick google research in english and in german (as he is preparing for the WC with the Swiss team) but i couldn't find a single arctice about it.

Josi joins the Swiss team next tuesday.
And he survived the last WC without any concussion. And he was quite solid.

According to Swedish Media, Swedens Head Coach Pär Mårts wont even give Viktor stalberg a call to give him a chance to play in the WC this year.
So far Sweden Has 3 NHL players, Ekholm, Eddie Läck from Vacnouver and Mikael Backlund of Calgary Flames.

Also, the Olympics are not controlled by the IIHF. They assist with the organization, but the IIHF doesn't actually run the show.

In the World Championships, it's all IIHF - and they also (as twig points out) get all the money.

I think this is a good thing. He didn't get a lot of games in this season due to injury, so this is a good way for him to get some more time in. It's a solid decision as long as he doesn't get injured.
