Why are the Kings targeting, of all places, Utah? Portland or Seattle make more sense.

Well they lost Frozen Fury to expansion. Same could be said for Seattle. Plus I’m sure they want something as close to LA as possible to attract fans from LA. I’ve never been to Utah, I’d consider it.

Seattle just got approved to do a 700 million makeover to Key Arena. They are one step away from getting a team which should be announced soon.

Portland seems like a shorter drive. I'd probably say there are more Angeleno transplants in the Pacific NW than Salt Lake City.

I don’t think either are really feasible for a drive, but right now google says it’s 10 hours to Salt Lake City and nearly 15 to Portland.
