I'm actually really excited to watch that Oilers line-up.

There's a sentence I never thought I would write/say.

Got box seats for this one, hopefully McCann, Bo, or even Mcdavid will be able to give me a show

Ooooo... just had a thought... what if it's McCann that gels with Vrbata... what that would do for our depth would be insane.

I hope Biega is in... Edm's best attribute is is speed... It would be a good test to see how he hangs..

Edit: ^ I see he is in.. thanks.

Sweet, this will be my first pre season game I get to watch, and this looks like it may be the last chance I will get to see a majority of these players, excited to see this roster play.

Was kind of hoping to see Corrado in tonight. Im really hoping he doesn't end up on waivers, and he can stick with the big club.

In the lineup tonight:

Alright, my guess for lines...

Baertschi - Horvat - Vey
Burrows - McCann - Virtanen
Hansen - Sutter - Kenins
Dorsett - Cracknell - Prust

Hutton - Biega
Hamhuis - Weber
Bartkowski - Sbisa

Markstrom/Bachmann

---

Like it or not, Vey and Baertschi are going to be given every conceivable chance to succeed. I could also see Horvat and Sutter rotating as deemed necessary - maybe even McCann, too.

Really happy to see Biega getting an extended look. I felt he impressed last year with his smarts and ability to read the ice. He's also shown a nice shot from the blueline and is a more physical player than most of our D men. I think he'll end up being a Kevin Klein type of 4-5 D man that is just solid all-around. I think its pretty clear that he's a better player than Corrado.

Interesting, the Canucks are going with a pretty green roster again, with some character veterans sprinkled in....would love to see them shut-down those high-priced Oiler bonus babies....and I wonder if the Oil might regret passing on Markstrom when he was on waivers last year.

Reinhart hasn't looked out of place at all. No Klembom or Fayne playing either.

Doesn't matter, Linden Vey was the best Canuck in cap last year, it really means little to nothing. Never really liked him, thought he was picked way too early, and has regressed since his draft year. I'm not a fan of trading essentially two first round picks for a teams failing prospects.
