The Flames' NHL players and Anthony Peluso made a trip to China, we're playing against the ones that stayed at home:

Top Line Debuts
Tonight the Jets top line of Blake Wheeler, Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor are scheduled to make their pre-season debut...The trio combined for 77 goals and 208 points last season...Wheeler averaged more than a point per game with 91 points (23G, 68A) in 81 games, while Scheifele had exactly a point per game with 60 points (23G, 37A) in 60 games...Connor led all NHL rookies with 31 goals.
Helle's First
Vezina Trophy finalist Connor Hellebuyck is slated to make his pre-season debut...The Michigan product tied for the NHL lead with 44 wins last season, which was the most by an American-born goaltender in NHL history...He also had a career best .924 save percentage...Hellebuyck signed a six-year, $37 million contract with the Jets this summer.
More Debuts
Two rookie forwards are slated to make their Jets pre-season debuts tonight in C.J. Suess and Kristian Reichel...Suess was selected by the Jets in the fifth round of the 2014 NHL Draft and played his college hockey at Minnesota State, while Reichel signed a contract with the Manitoba Moose this summer after playing two seasons in the WHL with the Red Deer Rebels.
Three-for-Three
Forward Seth Griffith is set to play in his third game of the pre-season tonight and is the only member of the Jets slated to do so...He was a free agent signing on July 1, 2016 by the Jets after playing last season in the Buffalo Sabres organization...The product of Wallaceburg, Ont. has also spent time in the Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers organizations.

There's a fine line between "long look" and "pre-season fodder".

In any case, he's actually looked okay at the NHL level. He's certainly been superior to Spacek, which is perhaps not surprising given that he's 4 years older.

Griffith seems like a guy who might have carved out an NHL role if he had been given a chance earlier in his career. He has the tools, but you can really see the AHL in his game

I was going to watch the Bombers game anyways, but now I can put the TSNGo app on the tablet and keep my peripheral vision on the Jets game.

they don't give out pre-season games like candy. for a player like Griffith to get 3 in a row is very rare.

LOL @ the lineup. What's the point of icing this lineup against this Flames lineup? Would have been better to ice tonight's lineup last night and last night's lineup tonight.

Valimaki has been having quite the preseason.

Well, would you be able to get people to attend a pre-season game with last nights line up? Most people would just opt to see the Moose in a couple weeks for 25 bucks. You have to have some of your stars in to get bums in the seats for these home preseason games. Why do you think McDavid was playing last night at home?

Does anyone actually buy a ticket for a pre-season game ?? Most (if not all) bums in the seats are the ones with season tickets.

Wonder who's lucky enough out of the AHLers to play with Frenchy. Probably Griffith.

I was wondering that myself. And do they continue playing him at RW?

Perhaps...

Connor Scheitele Wheeler
Ehlers Little Laine
Perreault Griffith Lipon
Suess Harkins Reichel

Myers Byfuglien
Chiarot Kulikov
Stoykewich Nogier

And after spending the summer listening to people state that "Kulikov was done", "Kuliokov would miss this season", "Kulikov won't be ready for training camp" it's nice to have him wearing a full contact jersey from day 1 and playing tonight:nod::)

Many STH do sell their pre-season games (if you can, it's not easy). But can you imagine the empty seats at tonight's game if it was last nights Jets vs tonight's Flames line up?

If he was 4 years younger he would be a prospect. As it is he looks fit for injury call-up.

They're managing opportunities, but they are also managing 6 games in 8 days.

Does anyone know if there will be a way to watch the stream of the game from the beginning after the game has started? I won't be home in time for the start of the game, but would still like to watch all of it.
