Lolol, born and raised, lived here most of my life. Also lived in Freddy for 3 years and spent several summers at CFB Gagetown. Lots of Habs fans here.

But either way, I find it hard to see how anyone could watch the Habs games Chris Lee has called throughout his career and not see a pattern of bias, no matter how it ever came into being. Through the years when I was gonna watch a Habs game and saw Lee was officiating or immediately debate whether I wanted to watch it or not. It’s that bad.

Freddy? Is that what they call Fredericton? Love it!

I take issue with that title. I'd rather live in an oligarchy than an economic wasteland. I don't care if the houses are brightly colored and the people talk funny.

And everything happens a half hour later there.

The world will end at 7pm this evening. 7:30 in Newfoundland.

Way beyond the scope of my post. Didn’t at all mean to open a political argument. I don’t know enough about it to comment.

Perry is a complete lunatic. Guy has won a hart, cups, basically everything in hockey. And for min salary he is taking an absolute beating to try and win a Cup for a new team, May be the toughest, in the true sense of the word, player I've ever seen play for Montreal. Hat tip to Gally, but Perry is taking a beating every shift to make plays.
Seconded.

The guy is addicted to competing.

I never really "got" him because he played in the West so was essentially invisible to someone like me who only watches hockey if its Habs hockey.

He's a f@cking hockey god. I am not worthy.

Min salary is still better than anything he can earn outside of hockey. After his agent's % and taxes, he still makes about 300 grand.
Well I agree 950k gross is a ton of cash, the context is that is a fraction of what he’s made in his career, and some guys, most of the Leafs forwards, won’t take punishment to win at 8x that salary. Fascinating that a guy like Perry who has done it all - I mean really won everything - is still so f***ing crazy about winning he will do anything to get another hit. My respect for him is intense.

What is wrong with praising him when he does well lol? Isn't that what you want?

He was awful close to the whole playoffs, but he was on tonight from his first forecheck, nothing wrong with crediting him for having great game

No It’s the fans that rip him then celebrate not one day after haha. There fickle

Money has nothing to do with compete level. Some people just do their best at whatever task is in front of them no matter how mundane. And some people make a fortune and half ass their way through life. My dad would call it character and lack of character.

I love what The Hockey Guy said about the reffing in his recap video lmao. "If the refs wave off the OT goal for high-sticking immediately after the missed call on Perry, they would probably need an armed escort out of the building."

Use the crappiness of the SQ creatively. Instead of killing inuit dogs or racial profiling people they could track down Chris Lee and keep him in custody until the games are played for the general sanity of the population.

Totally get that, I try and live my life the same way. Hate doing anything half assed.

But Perry takes it to the next level, working hard is one thing, taking brutal punishment is a different ball game.

Thinking about it, I can’t believe that Bettman had the guts to take one of the only 3500 seats available. What a prick!

Did he boo the habs throughout?

“Booooo, you’re contributing major $$$, boooo I still don’t want you to win, ever, booooo”

Refs have been told what Bettman wants. The refs who give him what he wants, the spineless and the shameless, get playoff games. Only the worst are wanted.

Most refs are Canadian, but not Québecois, with many from Ontario, lots of pajama guys, major Leafs fans, who can’t help the Leafs and hate the habs. Quebecois refs never get another game if Montreal fans don’t boo them consistently.
Lee, Dwyer, Furlatt and Charron all reffed in the Q.

Is it wrong that I have a man crush on Corey Perry?

Man, he's been integral, he's got a bit of everything, but mostly what impresses me is his in close work, the guy is a wizard when he's working in tight spaces.

Edit: I have to mention when he was coming down the boards, did a fake cut back, lost his defender, then did two actual cut backs, the defender looked lost like Perry had just completely babboozled him, he didn't know what to do or expect.
