Where is everyone coming up with 2 years?

I thought Friedman said both asks in arbitration was one year or did he change that?
Friedman didn’t have years. With Swayman filing wouldnt it make sense the Bruins would choose 2 years given he’d be RFA after?

Did Friedman say that somewhere other than Twitter? His main Swayman tweet doesn't mention the years.

Would be very unusual for any team to select a one year arbitration when the player would still be a RFA after two years.

edit: seems like it is a one year award. Wonder if Boston did that to keep the AAV lower this season, or out of a interest in potentially re-signing him earlier?

Perfect.

Someone could've offer sheeted him for at least $4 and it would've forced our hand a bit. But this is a great result for Sweeney.

Not surprised it came in this close to Samsonov. The comparable player arguments for both of them in the arbitration hearing should have had a lot of similarities.
