Not surprised it came to game 7, lets play another like tonight. Need Mason to play like he did and for our offense to keep clicking.

We were sloppy defensively but Mason bailed us out. Need to get that together. Kimmo continues to make bad decisions.

Through 3 games Mason is 2nd in save percentage and 3rd in GAA with .939 and 1.95 respectively. Pretty crazy, hope he keeps it up for this one.

Don't worry guys, Berube is not not only benching gus for this game, he is going Soviet era intelligence removal style and retroactively benching gus yesterday. He didn't score a goal, he didn't play, but he did somehow take a penalty, so he's being punished for that.

OT: Seeing Jagr resigning makes me wish he was still on this team. He would be the opposite of Vinny in this series.

Considering Mason sat for Emery game three and Gustafsson sat out games one through five for Gill and Grossmann, if we lose game seven I'm going to see red with Berube. I honestly think if those two things don't happen, just on their own maybe we don't even have to be in a do-or-die situation.

Seeing both Pens and Rags fans clench their sphinctors in unison is amazing though.

Tri-state area is going to be ******** diamonds tonight.

I just don't think Mason was ready for Game 3 but when the outcome was ready and we all knew he was feeling better, Berube wanted him to see a little ice time. Maybe not though, really only the coaches know and it's pointless for others to say otherwise. Berube has done a good job this year and anyone saying other wise is wrong. He is a rookie mistake and has made a few questionable calls but he is a huge part of the reason we are even here.

We have been resilient all year, except our fanbase. It's been extremely pessimistic and down right dumb around here lately with some of the statements being made. I don't understand how anyone can not see the new system and how the Flyers have been better defensively under Berube. That's all Berube, the players have to learn it. It's their job. Simmonds even in one of the shorts that they were doing this year said the team needed the change and Chief knows what he is doing.

Gill over Gus was because of how they play. They like the physical guy paired with the puck mover. You can disagree with that but they don't like it to be easy in front of our net. Would I have liked to see Gus in, of course I would have. We have to remember it's very easy to change up lineups on paper but it's a different ball game when we are talking in the game. Hartnell/Giroux/Voracek helped turn the year around when Giroux got going. They carried the Flyers offensively throughout the year, I can see why Berube didn't want to break them up hoping they could turn it around.

All in all, he has made some questionable calls but he is a first year coach. People saying if Gus played or other changes were made we aren't in a game 7 and won already, are just talking out there ass. There is no way to know that and you can't change it now.

Concentrate on the game in hand and not the past games. Berube is a fine coach so far and will only try to improve hopefully.

Ehh, Gill is forgivable but I'm not sure about playing Emery in game 3. It sounds like they decided Mason was good to go late/unexpectedly, and instead of changing things up, Berube just stayed the course with Emery since he had a good game 2 and wasn't expecting Mason to be ready. You really can't do that, if your starter is good enough to be on the bench then he should be starting. Especially when your backup is physically limited like Emery.

If we lose today, you have to wonder if it would have been different had Berube given Mason the start in Game 3. That loss was easily on Emery and by extension Berube.

It's a rookie mistake, but it might end up deciding the series. Dropping the first home game because you decided to play your backup is a huge blunder. It's not worth firing him over, but you expect to not see that mistake in the future.

Berube doesn't seem to adjust very fluidly, so how he handles his lineup decisions in his second year should decide his fate in my opinion. If he still has trouble adjusting after how stubborn he was this year, I don't want any part of him. He put together poor line combinations and almost never reacted to how they performed on ice this year, if that doesn't change I don't think he's a coach we can win with. His "accountability" was a joke.

Pretty much. Don't feel like debating, but I never get on Berube for how the team actually plays. The team plays as well as I expect them to but the lineup and ice-time decisions are maddening at times and at this point, if we lose, it's a big question whether Berube's lineup decisions cost us this series. If we lose.

I'm not sure what to expect from this game but if Mason plays stellar again and Gus is in I'm pretty confident honestly. As confident as can be at least.

Don't forget the way he refused to switch the lines and and let Lecavelier ruin things before finally switching things up and putting Lecavelier back where he belongs. It was so obvious but it took him so long to fix it.

I don't know why the Rangers, being the vastly superior team, allowed this series to go to 7 games. For their own amusement i guess?

With this tonight, and tomorrow being last day of classes for the semester (i have 2 tests and a project to work on for tomorrow), and the possibility of a PHI/PIT series being a reward in 48 hours, this is going to be absolutely torturous for me.
