If you’re talking influence, the Sex Pistols are easily one of the most influential acts to ever exist. I’d argue they’re just next to the Beatles in that respect. I believe several of the bands on this list started their band directly after seeing the Sex Pistols perform.

The Sex Pistols' 1976 Manchester "Gig That Changed the World," and the Day the Punk Era Began | Open Culture

Absolutely. I included them in the wrong category. Spawned Factory Records and the 2nd best movie (after Quadrophenia) ever made 24 hour party people.

I will be ranking them on my own enjoyment and not commercial success as the OP didn't state on what merit to rate them.
Will not include those bands whom I have not listened to.

1 HM Coldplay (if we are including a 90s band in Oasis)
2 Black Sabbath
3 Queen
4 Radiohead
5 The Rolling Stones
6 Oasis
7 The Beatles
8 Led Zeppelin
9 The Who
10 Pink Floyd
11 Blur
12 David Bowie
13 The Cure
14 Joy Division

Joy Division is my favorite band on this list, but I can’t put them over the motherf***ing Beatles.

the Beatles
Joy Division
Bowie
Pink Floyd
The Clash
The Smiths
The Rolling Stones
The stone Roses
Oasis
Blur
Queen

The rest I haven’t listened to enough to accurately rank. I’m not gonna judge The Who for example on the 5 songs of theirs I listen to every couple of months

I can't rank all these, too many bands I don't listen to and won't pretend I can judge fairly. What I can tell is that I have unconditionnal love for:

The Beatles
The Kinks
Cardiacs (haven't seen them mentionned yet - you need to get to know them)

And huge respect for:

XTC
Led Zep
David Bowie
Aphex Twin
