Atlantic:
1) Tampa Bay
2) Toronto
3) Ottawa

Metro
1) Columbus
2) New York Islanders
3) New Jersey

Wild Cards:
1) Washington
2) Pittsburgh (Have to believe they'll get their act together. They're the reigning cup champs.)

West:
Central:
1) St. Louis
2) Nashville
3) Winnipeg

Pacific:
1) Los Angeles
2) San Jose
3) Las Vegas (I've been watching most of their games, and I still can't decide if they're just unreasonably hot, or if they just have a great team composition filled with players who were close to breaking out, but stuck in 3rd line roles on their previous teams. I've decided to split the difference in this ranking.)

Wild Cards:
1) Chicago
2) Minnesota (wishful thinking, because it's a tossup between them and Dallas, Anaheim, Calgary, and even the surprising Colorado)

Nope. I believe it's only a matter of time before the goaltending reverts back to the norm and when that happens, the Jets will fall out of a playoff spot and all will be right with the world.

Can I ask your reasoning as to why you don't have Nashville? I don't see how they don't make it this year.

I'd swap out Dallas or Vancouver for Nashville.
They are almost literally one injury away from not being a playoff team. Before they had Turris they weren't a playoff team. They are also winning A LOT of 1 goal games.

Anything can happen. They seem very fragile to me.

They are not the first team to have a good year, and won't be the last. We have seen just over the past few years the Avs, Panthers, Oilers, etc. Not only is it not even 30 games in, we need to see it over a few seasons to know they are legit. Literally every team goes through this process of proving themselves.

Fair enough. I was just curious.

Since the first lockout they've been in the playoffs all but one year. It's not so much taking offense, it's just a feeling of, like, haven't they earned the benefit of the doubt that they can recover from poor starts (as they have in that time span)? They've been red hot and look a lot more like the team that they were expected to be coming in.

The Atlantic doesn't deserve three spots. That's a ridiculously bad division after Tampa and, to some extent, Toronto.
