And, a more complete picture is the following:
If we lose 2 more games in our next 13, we can't get to 94 points.
If we lose 1.5 more games in our next 13, we can't get to 95 points.
If we lose 1 more games in our next 13, we can't get to 96 points.
If we lose 0.5 more games in our next 13, we can't get to 97 points.
we can no longer get to 98 points.
we can no longer get to 99 points.
we can no longer get to 100 points.

If the other teams keep playing like they did in the last 10 games they'll finish with :

Toronto is 5-4-1 in the last ten which is a 55% points % which means they would finish with 7-6-1 which would give them 94 points.
Columbus is 2-4-4 in the last ten which is a 40% points % which means they would finish with 5-8-1 which would give them 90 points.
NYI is 2-6-2 in the last ten which is a 30% points % which means they would finish with 5-11-0 which would give them 88 points.
NYR is 6-4-0 in the last ten which is a 60% points % which means they would finish with 9-6-0 which would give them 94 points.
Carolina is 3-5-2 in the last ten which is a 40% points % which means they would finish with 7-10-0 which would give them 88 points.

People keep talking about Toronto but honestly it will likely require 95 points to beat Toronto and NYR (we don't have the tie break). Our best hope is that both Columbus and NYI keep sucking like they did the last 10 games cause to get to 95 points we can't even lose 2 games.

True, but it will be hard for us to catch Islanders, NYR, CAR, and CoL. Well Columbus without seth jones appear doomed. But catching 2 of NYR, Islanders, and Carolina may be more likely than catching Toronto. But still extremely unlikely, especially with the Tatar injury. But I see your point about it potwntially being easier than catching a Toronto team that is about to get Rielly back.

Even 10-2-1 to finish the season only gets this team to 93 points. That's probably not enough to qualify.

I was suggesting that the Leafs will be a better team with those 2 guys, because right now they suck ass. They might eliminate us faster.

The Atlantic division outside of TB & Boston is an embarrassment, and even TB sucks right now.

Last 10 games:

Boston: 8-2-0
Ottawa: 5-4-1
TB: 5-5-0
Montreal: 4-4-2
Toronto: 4-5-1
Buffalo: 4-6-0
Florida: 3-5-2
Detroit: 2-7-1

That's gawd awful.

Honestly, the entire East save the Bruins, Flyers and Rangers has been bad the last 3 weeks.

Uet Detroit just beat Chicago, one of the teams we need to pass us to get better lottery odds and a better position innthe 2nd round - i know we have their 2nd, I'm speaking in general after the first round. There are a bunch of teams we need to pass us. And a bunch of other teams we need to not pass.

What the f*** is with the laffs? On paper I thought they were top 5 this year. I’d be very pissed if I was a laffs fan.

Not that it matters, but of course the Canes and Islanders had to go to OT so both get a loser point. Good for our lottery pick odds.

They are pissed and are not happy with "turnover machine" Marner or Tavares not to mention their D. That team is really disengaged emotionally too.

8 back of both Toronto and the Islanders for 3rd and last WC spot.

Even if they got 10-2 that gets them to 91 points, very likely not enough for either.

This is an AHL level team, and people really think there's a chance they make the playoffs? The Laval Rocket beats this team in a seven game series.

Yeah, the loss vs the Panthers today was the end of any hope.

More Lindgren, Hudon, Vejdemo, Lehkonen, Armia, Weise, Alzner, ouellet, Kulak and Folin please Claude.

Rest Gallagher, Byron, Price and Weber. Send Suzuki to Laval for the playoff run.

I think that they can no longer send Suzuki down.
