Yeah, it turns out he isn’t at his best after 20 minutes of ice time. This didn’t feel as come-backy as last game because Zacha’s absence took out a lot of our available centers. Oh well.

Another game where they're competitive but lose due to bad finishing, bad refs, bad special teams. It's annoying but they played well and that's what I care about more.

Agreed on this.. Just frustrating to watch with refs making huge impact. Dont want to complain, but i will.

Feels Its been like this for 2 or 3 seasons NJ getting jobbed by refs. So many times it goes against NJ in some shady style...

Kind of wish they'd get away from the 80/40 second split on the PP - and go 40/40/40. Seems like they would benefit from different looks and more motion/energy.

They sleep-walked during the first half of the first period and put them in Catchup mode all night long.

Didn't help that the Refs were in the Pens pocket.
