It would be pretty crazy to see Sprong hit 30 goals this year, the Islanders have 12 games left and he has 18 goals and 19 games while being incredibly hot. Not surprisingly, this is by far his best Q season, he's on pace for 111 points/68 games while his previous best pace was 95 points/68 games.

I hope Charlottetown goes on a deep playoff run but I kinda think the best thing for him would be to not play in the Memorial Cup but rather join the baby Pens for the playoffs like he did last year.

QMJL finishes out the regular season a month before the AHL right? Guess I will be looking for a loss in the 2nd round for the Islanders. Should get Sprong to the A for the last couple regular season games.

I was just going to post this, but you beat me to it. It seems to me that the best thing for him is his Q season to end ASAP so he can join the baby Pens.

Has Prow fallen off that badly?

Prow hasn't shown much so far in his AHL rookie season. 1 goal and 9 assists in 39 games, and the only regular with a negative +/-. He started out as a frequent healthy scratch before the usual injuries and call-ups hit WBS this winter. It's not surprising that he would have trouble cracking the veteran-heavy Baby Pens defense, especially with Warsofsky and Pouliot hogging all the PP time. Prow should have more of an impact next season when some of them will have moved on. But still, you have to wonder how much room for growth he has left at age 24.

As an undersized, average skating, defensively questionable, powerplay specialist blueliner, did he even have far to fall in the first place?

For me, Prow was always a long shot.
Theres the Bengtsson level then a full level below that is the Prow level.

Most surprising for me is Simon.
He's starting to pick up his scoring again though after a great first season in the A.

When i watch him i see a guy settling in to AHL/smaller rink hockey. Like i can play this super shifty style here and be pretty good but i'd like to see him get another gear in his straight away speed to add to his shiftiness. You seen it some on the bigger ice and at the Worlds he played in a couple seasons ago but i find he's reverted back to his basics which is a super shifty style on the smaller ice surface.

I know he attended some of the power skating sessions Max Ivanov held in the summer but I'd like to see him get a focused/detailed program to focus mainly on his straight away speed and power over the summer. He's still only 22 yrs old. He can make nice improvements in that area still.
