Ya, thats some pretty serious ****. New World Order, Shadow Government, Central Banking, Global Population Control, Alien Human-Hybrids... yep, full-on heavy-duty company you'd be keeping with Bilderberg. Well beyond any of yer Masonic 33rd Degree, Hellfire Club members activities.

Yep, in fact here is a video of PKP asking his top agent Adam Jensen to help him stop the evil cabal of Paul Desmarais, Gary Bettman, Joyce Clark and the rest of the Illuminati by stealing the Coyotes (that are at the center of their evil plans to take over the world):

Well this is just it. I mean, you'd have to be delusional to try & consummate a lease and management agreement with the COG walking in there asking them to double down. Their financial situation is precarious, widely reported, no secret. And never mind that anything north of $6M is flat out extortion, beyond reasonable. And yet here you had Sherwood confirming that yes indeedy, Anthony Le Blanc had in fact come a courting looking for $15M?! Who does this guy think he is? PT Barnum & Rolling Stones Inc? What a farce. Im just disgusted with the lot of them.

Carolina will move next, after the Coyotes that is.

What's the backstory behind Carolina? Hadn't heard anything about them. I know relocationistas look at the Panthers, Blue Jackets unaware of how tied to their cities/sites they are and the Predators' period of weakness has appeared to pass. It looked like the Coyotes were the only vulnerable team.

It going to be hard to proclaim that you're broke while tossing all that money in a bonfire. I seen some convoluted logic in the past when the CoG is concerned but that taking it to a whole new level. Even more so since the real numbers are now public knowledge. Lying is one thing when you can pretend you're not doing it but bold face lie when you can't that take some serious delusion.

This is Glendale, the city built on delusion, the site where Clarkonomics was founded. Clarkonomics requires delusion. Any of the Glendale posters here can say what the citizens of Glendale think of the police/fire cuts, even in spite of passing the sales tax increase, and of city councilmembers desiring to give potential Coyotes buyers Jamison kinds of AMFs?

And, Sherwood should know better...

Part of his resume includes:
  • spent years managing projects and teams in the aerospace industry*
  • 33-year resident of Glendale
  • former chairman of the Glendale Planning Commission
* Guess this makes him the 'rocket scientist' on the council ! :sarcasm:

I’m so tired…
P.S. Take the 6 –or– Fold

This isn't rocket science!... It's monorail subsidization. Then again, maybe he's used to making moon shots. You know what they say: shoot for the moon. Even if you miss you'll... drift slowly in space until your air supply or food runs out and your space vehicle becomes your space tomb as just another bit of space garbage.

Or perhaps Sherwood is using the Coyotes and Glendale's funding of them as part of research into black holes. :sarcasm:

This could very, when the Winnipeg got the Trashers, I thought they were going to get the Coyotes but out if no where the Trashers come up. There could be a team that is in more trouble(ownership wise) than the Coyotes(hard to believe but true).

I used to post but mainly lurked in the shadows on Darren Ford's site (JetsOwner.com) during the "Coyotes to Winnipeg" saga. Around 2 months before the unbelievable happened, Ford started hinting for people to start looking eastward; he referred to it as "eyes in two directions, people".... then rumours of Atlanta being for sale started, certified loon John Kincade was allowed to take a picture of the mystery buyer's (code named the Balkan) shoe as evidence of his existence, Tom Glavine was reportedly "stepping up to the plate" to purchase the team, Lil' John (http://www.liljononline.com/) was said to be interested in joining some other group wanting to purchase the team, blah, blah, blah...

Then BAMM, virtually out of nowhere Winnipeg gets Atlanta.... :amazed:

Guess anything is possible in the NHL.

Apparently here's very little time left, but Gary needs to pull just one more tire kicker out of his supply of NHL city hat's
i_love_glendale_hat-r5e056de86ac74737bd5d4ca43705c448_v9whj_8byvr_216.jpg

which "rabbit out of a hat" trick was mentioned in the following clip from sportnet on the sale of the thrashers to Winnipeg.... btw, I'm actually hoping for the Coyotes staying in Glendale for many years to come. This apparent never-ending farce is like watching the auditions of American Idol, very embarrassing for some of the contestants / wannabe stars (read Coyote fans in this case), but way too entertaining to stop someone from watching (in this case a train wreck).

There "was" more than one group - Gosbee and Pastor already declared themselves back when Daly was declaring multiple ownership groups. I suppose we can include Jamison, but he's old news now and presumably would not be holding up any negotiations with the NHL. He's had a couple of years to work things out.

I'd be interested to know any other credible information that you have suggesting that there are any other potential ownership groups.

You missed the point... along with everyone else.

The NHL wants the lid clamped down on anything regarding the sale of the team. Pastor's the only one who's been squawking to whatever media outlet will have him.

Ergo.... NHL is sending Pastor a message that if he really wants in on this to clamp it shut. That is unless he's already shut himself out.

Le Blanc & Jones though, theyve' been running their engines, the latter his mouth his TL. Le Blanc's made it known his groups after a $15M AMF, absolutely delusional to think about much less ask for, go in there demanding or whatever. City simply doesnt have it and $6m is sufficient. More than sufficient in fact, as Id be offering way less up-front and cap the fee at $6M, performance based. But it is what it is, and absolutely beggars imagination to think that if this is the best the NHL's got, the lead group, well, you people, the ones least deserving to be so are screwed. That team as good as gone. The NHL has to know this, has to be aware of the crippling position the cities in yet they persist, and what inf does leak out beyond disappointing if your a supporter. Just sad that the leagues resorted to this, says, does nothing to seriously kickstart, expedite & facilitate a sale, and for 4yrs now. Zero leadership. Absolutely appalling.

I think that you missed the point about Pastor's bid being completely unacceptable to the NHL, with Daly going so far as to clarify that Pastor made the unacceptable proposal after being told by the NHL what parameters were needed. The NHL didn't seem to mind IEH, Hulsizer and Jamison squawking about their plans.

If there was a bona fide owner with a great offer for the Coyotes who had a plan for an acceptable lease with Glendale the NHL would be delighted for the world to know. But, yah, they're probably trying to keep as many moonshot artists and carpetbaggers out of the limelight as possible.

It come back to the theory that the NHL want to hear Glendale say "NO" publicly before relocating. So they make outrageous demands after outrageous demands. The problem is the CoG have out crazy those demands. How about $50 million? Sure Gary here $50 million. How about $320 over twenty years and front loaded. Sure Gary what else you want? I think the NHL feel trapped right now they can make another crazy demand but the CoG might just match it. I predict that if the NHL feel that way they are going to delay until they can't anymore and throw someone under the proverbial bus to get out of there. Gosbee could be it but Jamison could make for a more juicy scapegoat.

... well done Doc. Only problem is context. The actress is sympathetic, encouraging. Pastor gets a gander at that bit of eye candy likely to misinterpret, in fact seems to have already, goes for the Gold, runnin like Clooney, Turturro & Nelson through a tobacco field in O'Brother, Where Art Thou.

I think the context is right, because depending on which 'clever' (pun intended) boy comes out 'running.'

In the next few fortnights, will it be: Gosbee (running for the 'local' team with an 'out clause'), PKP (running for the 'profitable' team), -or- the NHL (running up the 'subsidies' and the 'losses' for the other owners, one more year)?

I’m so tired…

If you’ve been following the ownership stories, you know a resolution won’t likely come this month. The NHL has yet to choose a buyer for the team. Once it does, that buyer will still need to work out an arena management deal with the City of Glendale, and even then, the process may not be completely over.

City officials have said that they hope to have a deal done by the end of May, but a source with keen knowledge of the situation said that simply isn’t going to happen

2 weeks... pfft

Ya, your bolded part there RAgin, seriously problematical. As others have commented, how does the NHL go about explaining that one away? In BK Court claiming any movement past May 31st would be impossible to execute yet here we have some un-named source claiming June 31st would be a Deadline for not only finalizing a sale but so to effectively the date when RFA's & UFA's kick-in, not to mention the Contracts of both Maloney & Tippet having expired. Just doesnt make sense. If Le Blanc & Gosbee are somehow hoping Glendales going to double down on the $6M AMF, with the RFP Deadline of May 31st rapidly approaching, they shouldve been well into negotiations with the City by now. Times run out, unless the NHL just doesnt care that it goes into June/July, and that doesnt make any sense either unless their content to stick it out for another season, receiving nothing at all from Glendale. None of this is adding up. Doesnt make sense.

Does this surprise you, Mr. Veteran of the Infinite Threads, that none of this is adding up? It hasn't added up pretty much ever since the NHL nuked the Balsillie Manoeuvre. Granted, they want to protect the portability of franchises and their right over markets... but wow. Samuel Beckett could never have dreamed of such a real-life tale of futility and utter inaction as the sale of the Coyotes.

One theory I heard floated was the NHL and Glendale negotiating a settlement, The NHL forgives, returns the extra 5 million that was to go into escrow. In return Glendale agrees that they will not pursue any legal action against the NHL. Also with that being agreed to prior to May 31, Glendale can then decide on a arena manager without 2 scenarios being present.

The NHL needs a decision by May 31 or very close to it, Obvious things can nor play out during that time for the NHL to approve a sale but have Glendale's refusal to pay ransom in a Arena management deal.
