There would have to be ulterior motives... such as Status, tax shelter, combining other interests.... have a leg into the proposed gambling facility. If you are looking for who Jamisons investors are, they would be souls that fall into the above category.

Brought up earlier of course, but ya, apparently Jamison was (reported in the Globe, discussed here at length) looking into the US Immigration Services Immigrant Investor Program, apparently at the behest of whomever (the Balkan, insert shoe picture here plz)) wherever. Green Cards for Green Backs.... anecdotally, someone I know who claims to have seen Jamison's prospectus did indeed tell me that its incredibly light on actual "business plans" per se'; heavy on the accountancy & tax shelter benefits, Glendales contributions etc. Read more like a statement from an Actuary or Accountant meeting up with an end of year Annual Report. Very curious indeed.

Figures and projections equate to "if's" and "but's"... Fine if you want a Merry Christmas, but do little to inspire investors. The plans on getting to the figures are where the rubber meets the road.

Ya, and wildly speculating here but unless this source of mine wasnt given a Volume II for whatever reason that actually laid it all out... part PT Barnum meets original owner of the Rangers Tex Rickard, part Daniel Lamarre of Cirque du soleil meets Brian Epstein, Andrew Loog Oldham & Malcolm McLaren etc etc etc, might just as well use the pages of that prospectus to line the floor of the Canary's Cage.

"Yadda.....yadda.....yadda....."

"And the beat goes on.............."

:sarcasm:

Legend, we finally agree on something! The beat goes on and Gramps is nowhere to be found! Where is old Gramps Waldo anyway? I thought he was going to be buying this franchise, "shortly"? Time for you to move ahead and realize this transaction is dead and GJ is what we all thought he was, a puppet sent forth by GB to continue the heist of Glendale and the Coyote fans!

No.... we don't agree except to disagree.

Actually.... I don't even know if that's true. All I see is you continually recycling the same opinion, and hoping it gets traction.

New article on the Tohonos....

Seems they never negotiated in good faith with the other tribes from the very beginning.

http://www.azcentral.com/community/glendale/articles/20130115filing-tohono-tribe-planned-violate-glendale-casino-pact.html

Well, what I understand is that those other tribes already have established casinos in the area and simply want to block any further competition. Not like they serve some community interest and Tohonos are the bad guys.

100 suites at $100k per...that seems a stretch...

... suites? Unlikely!

Speaking upon the Lightning and their suite pricing...

One could lease a basic suite on a per-game basis (tiered - 1, 2, and 3) for $2,250 (Tier I), $3,150 (Tier II), and $4,050 (Tier III). Now... Tier I is for a max of 24 games (select games - $54,000), Tier II is for 14 games (also select games - $44,100), and Tier III would be for 5 games only (Premium games - $20,050).

For Super Suites - the same number of games are available but as you would imagine the pricing goes up (Tier I now $90K, Tier II $63K, and Tier III $36,750)

I remember when I was the Suite Administrator with my previous employer our suite lease was $229K, per year, but that included all concerts, special events, Storm games, etc. So of that $229K, going back 2 seasons ago and factoring in the 65% HRR rule regarding luxury suites... $148,850.

What I'm saying is $100K is doable definately, more like a steal actually.

some interesting tweets from Joyce Clark last night. Nice to bring up Chapter 13 but municipalities go through Chapter 9

https://twitter.com/clarkjv/status/291422155613286401

Also it seem she was at the practice on Monday, going to the practice tonight, and looking for a tailgate on Sunday.

Saw all that too, plus all the other senseless ramblings from her and her cohorts. Scratched my head when I read that for about 5 seconds then moved on to my fantasy team lineup in preparation for Saturday.

First, she leads the charge to give Jamison a $300+ million subsidy.

Then her Twitter account issues a sneering mock-up picture of council member Alvarez holding a cheque from the COG to Jamison for $300 million.

Then we get a Tweet from her getting all anxious for the new city council to start axing city employees and services ASAP (to pay for the deficit exacerbated by the Jamison subsidy)...

Joyce Clark ‏@clarkjv
@DawnMonaghan2 Worried about will of new council to make meaningful cuts ASAP.

Meanwhile, she's running on and on about how much fun she is having as a Coyotes fan.

What a shock that such an astute politician got trounced in a municipal election... :amazed:

Serious question.:)

How many sightings of UFO"s in the past 3 years?
1000's

actual UFO's with aliens aboard
0

How many bigfoot sightings in the past 3 years?
100"s

actual bigfoot specimans
0

How many sightings of buyers for the |Coyotes in the past 3 years?
5???

Actual buyers with $$$$
0

In my opinion if GJ and the JSG had some $$$ to close this deal they would be front and centre before the season starts. Energizing a fanbase and selling tickets.

GJ, where are you???? This is a circus show with the COG playing the clown role and GB and BD the ringmasters.

Pretty much.
The Gila River Indian Community and the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community oppose the planned casino because it violates the 2002 agreement, attorneys for the tribes said on Tuesday.

The Gila and Salt River tribes operate all the existing casinos in the metro Phoenix area.

Next thing you know, Glendale is on sale.

Probably. When does the sale start?

The Glendale Art Commission was not receptive Thursday to exploring a plan to sell items in the municipal art collection.

The City Council earlier this year directed staff to look at liquidating the assets as Glendale wrestled with a $35 million deficit in the fiscal year that opens July 1.

"I know it's important for the city to move forward and get as much capital as it can," Commissioner Janine Barbour said at the special meeting. "Why don't we stop paying for the stadium instead?"

LOL! If gramps Jamison fails to materialize at the Coyotes home opener we can safely conclude there will be no sale, a lame duck season will ensue and relocation will take place immediately at the close of the current season.
