A question that will occur in the near future: "What did you do last night"?
My answer: "I went to see the Arizona Coyotes at the Honeywell Arena in Glendale and had an amazing hamburger"!
1st step in marketing the team: Change name to the Arizona Coyotes.
2nd step: Change the name from Jobbing.com; Honeywell Arena sounds nice to me.
3rd step: Update the food options.

This thread title is really going to bug me. The name of the arena is Jobing.com....
..Go on up there in the corner & google jobbing arena. Two b's.
Yet their website, www.jobing.com just has the one. Weirdness.

It looks like 1 thru 4 will be checked off "The List" very soon...
1) The NHL will sell GJ the Coyotes for ~$75M to $100M.
2) The NHL will announce a sale price of ~$170M.
3) The GWI will huff and puff but do nothing.
4) The NHL will continue to say that they have NO plans for expansion.
**
5 thru 9 to be completed by year's end. 10 and 11 by 2014/2015. 12 is a constant...
5) The NHL will enter a negotiation with the NHLPA and insist on a 50-50 revenue sharing.
6) The NHLPA will say “HELL NO!!!!!â€.
7) The NHL will then say “I’ll tell you what. You give us 50% (a reduction of 7% ) and we will expand by 2 teams (a jobs increase of 7%)â€.
8) The NHLPA will agree.
9) There will be a higher ceiling and lower floor – making the Coyote less expensive to run. The players will also get to play in Sochi in 2014.
10) The NHL will expand to QC in around 2014. The BoG will put a cool $200M in their pocket that they don’t have to share with the players.
11) The NHL will also expand to either Seattle (for $150 - $200M) or Toronto(2 for $300M). Again, the players will see none of it.
12) Gary Bettman will look like a hero which will make us all feel a little sicker at night.

Nope.
I heard Gretzky was awarded the 2nd b during the bankruptcy. Now it's sitting on his lawn.
To be fair, even the City seems to be unsure, as the addresses in the Jamison/COG lease agreement (article 24) are written as "Jobbing.com Arena"..
Yeah, this is really going to bug me. I may have to double up on the Zoloft for a while....

Don't get hung up on the number of b's, ED. We have enough to talk about.
... :well tell ya what?. Take it up with the author of the title & my Attorney on this matter, manisback. Whenever he returns. Comes back. From court. Happy Hour at the Gown&Gavel.
But....it's...wrong...there...is...only...one...'b'...
If my doctor asks why a burned though 3 months of Zoloft in 1 and a half months, I'm blaming you and Killion...
I've gotten drunk there so many times....
I swear this isn't just free advertising for our resident Big Brother lover..
#1 and #2 cannot coexist. If #2 is true, then #1 implies 29 other owners are secretly subsidizing Jamison's purchase price for $70-100M, i.e. 5-10 years worth of revenue sharing?
I'm not a lawyer but I recall CF or another resident lawyer saying there can't be any Gift Clause case if the lease agreement doesn't come into effect. So #3 is still speculation and if you cross it because you assimilate the recently overturned initiatives then you haven't been paying attention. #4 is probably right.
I believe you have the CBA part completely wrong. According to reports Don Fehr is either a skillful negotiator or just an evil guy, but both definitions imply he's smart. The NHLPA is not going to give up
- 7% of their share of revenues (i.e. 7/57 = 12.3% of salaries as you know )
- $600M in predictable revenues that could be part of HRR
while all they get is
- 6.67% higher membership
- the right to play in Sochi (with hockey fans clearly on their side here).
