Liked subsidies a lot ...
But the GWInch,
Who lived just North of Glendale,
Did NOT!
The GWInch hated subsidies! The whole hockey season!
Now, please don't ask why. No one quite knows the reason.
It could be his politics were skewed to the right.
It could be perhaps, that his shoes were to tight.
But I think that the most likely reason of all
May have been that his donations were two sizes too small.
But,
Whatever the reason,
Donations or shoes,
He stood there on Meeting's Eve, reading the news.
And the more the GWIinch thought of the whole council meeting,
The more the Grinch thought, "I must stop this whole thing!
"Why for almost three years I've put up with it now!
I MUST stop subsidies from coming!
...But HOW?"
Then he got an idea!
An awful idea!

GOT A WONDERFUL, AWFUL IDEA!
"I know just what to do!" The GWInch laughed in his throat.
And he made a quick lawyers suit and a coat.
And he chuckled, and clucked, "What a great way to depose
