I didn't know you could move the council meeting to the job like that. Of course, maybe the council is worried that they will miss a pro-coyotes voice considering it conflicts with the game, so they just moved the meeting to where the voices are. However, if what yotesreign says is true, it does look good for Coyotes' fans.

Was kind of hoping the Kings would sweep in 4 just to get the show on the road, but we'll see what new twists and turns are ahead now that we have both a hockey game AND a council meeting on Tuesday. Spills! Thrills! Chills! Excitement!

My question of the day is... how long before kdb's summary post takes up an entire page....:(

I couldn't get through the wave of posts at the end of the last thread - from what I could gather, the next CoG meeting is going to be held at The Job where they will announce a deal with Jamison and that Tippet has been replaced by a French-speaking football coach from Guadalajara.

Sorry aboot that, sometimes I get carried away with the Barry Goldwater references...

I can't imagine how quickly an injunction would make the problems apparent though, how long would such a thing take until the NHL pulled out and ran for the border?

Whats the reason they are doing the meeting at the arena tomorow? Also why is it good news for the fan? Are they suposed to announce something then?

And to think I was worried all this hanging around the HF BoH Phoenix board was a WASTE of time and MY LIFE... Well, it's not!

To the right of the board, I just saw an advertisement for the new Adam Sandler movie. Sweet!!! Nothing better than an Adam Sandler movie.
Lots of high class humour and clever wit. And NONE of the toilet humour that is so often prevalent in today’s movies.
And to think I might have missed it. Makes the last 3 years of my life I spent following this saga all worth while.

OMG... Adam Sandberg is in it too! Now THAT is a funny man. This could be the best comedy since Woody Allen’s Manhattan.
Could life get any better???

Thank you, HF Board. Thank you indeed.

:(

GB -Hi everyone, I am Gary Bettman. I am glad to announce a sale of the franchise to Greg Jamison and his partners .... ah sorry, just a second. Greg, what names do we give?

GJ - I dunno Gary, we don't want to be suied, say something...

GB - Okay, sorry for this, a group of investors to be named later (Gary's looking at Bill with big eyes) are buying the team and we are glad to announce the team is staying in Scottsdale .. ah sorry, Glendale.

People applaud

GB - This is the happy end of a 3 years long process and we are glad its finally over.....ots of work have been done by Mr Beasley that I want to thank, and also, haa, the mayor who is sitting, somewhere in the back of the room.

I'll be glad to answer any questions, like, if you want, things that could threaten the deal, ..... by, let say a third party.....

Wow, if that is true that the next COG meeting is at the Job, then I don't know what to say to that - because (sarcasm initiated) that is just so very fair that the councillors that oppose this deal won't be pressued by 17000 fans (end sarcasm).
Gawd, Lieberman was swayed by just 1 fan a couple years ago......

Oh, and Phoenix L: The L stands for Logan.

Any chance the supposed meeting at the Job tommorrow has nothing to do with the Coyotes, and everything to do with the NFL and parking?

http://www.bizjournals.com/phoenix/morning_call/2012/05/glendale-crafts-plan-to-avoid-67m.html

The Glendale City Council will vote on a plan Tuesday to solve a parking dispute with the Arizona Cardinals and avoid a $67 million lawsuit threatened by the National Football League team.

The plan would call for Glendale to lease just under 10 acres of land from the Arizona Department of Transportation at the Loop 101 and Glendale Avenue. The city would lease the land for $9,000 a year. The land will yield 1,000 parking spots.

The city also wants to pay Westgate City Center owners iStar Financial Inc. to lease vacant land for a parking lot at 91st and Glendale Avenues. That will cost the city $356,000.

Why would desperation lead to that? Maybe he misunderstood something like the meeting being put on tv's in the concourse or something so that the fans can stay updated...

Not sure why desperation would lead to that but the way this story goes everything is possible lol...I have not found anything on it so far either

Oh, and Phoenix L: The L stands for Logan.

Bang on, Joey.

Except since cute Logan implored the CoG to not let his team go, his dad lost his job as a municipal worker because of budget cuts, his big brother couldn't get a job parking cards for $22 per axle at the Job, and Logan is now a part-time member of the workforce and is livid that his Starbucks venti chai latte will have 22 cents added to the price as part of the new CFD.

Alot can change from thread XIX to L.
