Rangers fan here, but was in Philly last Wednesday for the Crystal Palace friendly versus the Union (I'm a Palace fan....must be the colors). The game was okay, but I came away really impressed with the stadium. It's a nice building and I love the location, at least with the bridge in the background. The surrounding area seemed a little sketchy, but that's just on first view, but maybe if it is the stadium and the team can help out with that. Overall it was a great time and if Palace comes back next summer, we'll be there. The only time I'll ever come to Philly and root for the Eagles. :)

The stadium in Chester is awesome. Union games are a lot of fun and I'd recommend anyone in the area to check one out.

I watched the Union/NYRB game on Sunday and the place was rocking, definitely looked like a great atmosphere.

They are trying to build a stadium here on Long Island for the Cosmos that I hope goes through. There is the usual community protests, of course, but I'd love for the Cosmos to jump up to MLS. Not sure if that's going to happen without this building.

My mother in law said the stadium is in a sketchy area. I've wanted to bring my son to a game, but this has deterred me.

It's in Chester yes, but it's secluded from the actual city and has immediate access to the commodore barry or 95 if you're from PA/DE. You're not driving through much to go/leave the stadium. Plus they always have security and police in full force in the surrounding areas.

As someone whose never been to Philly or Chester for that matter, on first glance, it doesn't look like a great place to be. However, we parked near the stadium and had like a 3 minute walk to the gate and were inside with no problem. There were people tailgating as well. I don't think we parked in an official stadium lot, the web site said $20 but we paid $25, but I'm not sure.

On the way out, there were no issues at all walking back. Definitely was a police presence in the area, and we Just followed the little metal gates across the street/train tracks, and we were back in the car and headed to the casino in no time.

I'd definitely go back next summer.

Union fall in PKs. Ah well. USOC isn't as important this year since we hopefully have a playoff run to look forward to.

Union go out and get a very renowned midfielder yet again but continue to neglect their forward position.

Nogs leaving out of nowhere really ****ed us. Barnetta isn't good enough defensively to play behind the #10 so we need to push him back up. Edu can't get healthy for some reason and watching a carroll-creavalle pairing is comparable to watching a luke schenn-grossman defensive pairing so bedoya makes sense. Sapong isn't getting it done up front though.

Are you implying Bedoya will be replacing Carroll? Because that would make me the happiest person ever.

I agree we need a forward, but this post pretty much sums it up.

Also, they traded for Charlie Davies from the Revs last night.

Reclamation project. Worked for Pontius. Until otherwise stated, I have faith in Steward.

Yep. Has been injured a few times though, got diagnosed with a type of cancer too.

Poor guy. Rooting for him.

Yea, just saw he was diagnosed with cancer too, but its in remission. Always did like him back when he played with the usmnt.

We sent money and our first to the revs for Davies and their 3rd

Yep. Steward wants to go the academy route which I dont blame. After the first like 5-8 picks in the mls draft its a crapshoot.

I wish. Bedoya and Carroll will probably play together until Edu gets healthy. Thats assuming Edu can hold down a starting spot when he gets back though.
