I naturally progressed from football as a kid so kicking a rugby ball came naturally to me.

Back in my prime, and when I was a heavy skater, I could just about slot it from 50 metres and get a good 60 metres on a punt without too much trouble.

I played football since I could walk tbh... have multiple family members who were professional... and in turn they

but I was born with two left feet seemingly. Made up for by my hands thankfully!

Had pace and power but could not even make the B team in football at high school. Always loved playing but my only ability was knocking a ball 10 yards past someone and beating them to it haha.

Hilariously my uncle half offered me a trial at a Conference North club when I was 17. I had not played an 11-a-side game in 2 years. I laughed so much. Though in hindsight I should have taken it just for the story. But it would have been embarrassing. The only part I would have kept up was the part before the ball came on the pitch. :help:

We won our division in football in HS because the opposing punter skied it into a strong wind which actually pushed the ball back over his head. We recovered the kick behind the opposing team and ran it in for a touchdown. It was unbelievably hilarious to watch, it was like the whole play was in slow-motion.

I once got caught under a high kick as the equivalent of the returner in rugby...

in a heavy wind.

I set myself for it, and I realised it was being pushed over my head by the wind, so I start running backwards at speed, while still looking up as the ball is looking like it is going to go right over my head and land behind me. I probably had ran 15 yards directly backpedalling at full speed and looking so far backwards that I overbalanced and fell backwards... thankfully I had got under the ball and caught it as I was falling bakwards.

But everyone laughed for like a week. Multiple people re-enacted it the next week in training.

I’m no dentist but that seems pretty serious.

I'm actually related to a dentist. I'll text him and get back to you.
